Historia
The worst thing to ever happen on Hemlock Circle occurred in Ethan Marsh’s backyard. One July night, ten-year-old Ethan and his best friend and neighbor, Billy, fell asleep in a tent set up on a manicured lawn in a quiet, quaint New Jersey cul-de-sac. In the morning, Ethan woke up alone. During the night, someone had sliced the tent open with a knife and taken Billy. He was never seen again. Thirty years later, Ethan has reluctantly returned to his childhood home. Plagued by bad dreams and insomnia, he begins to notice strange things happening in the middle of the night.

Spooky
Revisado: 06-24-24
Returning to his childhood home thirty years after his best friend Billy disappeared from a tent in the backyard, Ethan Marsh struggles to sleep, a reoccurring dream waking him every night. Billy was never found and Ethan must remember the details that his mind trapped so long ago to solve the mystery of what happened to Billy.
Another hit by Riley Sager. Masterfully plotted with just enough twists to keep the story exciting.

Historia
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

The black and gold scarf
Revisado: 06-18-24
When Nicoli discovers a woman's scarf at the bottom of a trash bin in her son's home and fishes it out, her life will never be the same. The unexpected twists and turns of this story kept me guessing. The story was well plotted and written. The performance of Imagin Church is perfect as always. Great English story.

She’s got a great job at a VA Hospital, an adorable daughter, and a loving husband. Granted, it would be wonderful if her preschooler wouldn’t wake her up at three in the morning, and it would be a miracle if her husband would change the toilet paper roll once every millennium. Still, in most ways, she has the ideal life she’d always imagined. Then Jane discovers that Dr. Ryan Reilly is the VA’s newest vascular surgeon. Dr. Ryan Reilly, a.k.a. sexy surgeon, a.k.a. the biggest jerk she ever loved.

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

TBI makes a poor but funny witness
Revisado: 03-28-24
A true crime Podcaster sets out to solve cold case murder in a small Texas town. Lucy, the best friend of the victim, who is the town's number one suspected has no memory of the night of the murder but with the Podcaster's help she will finally figure out what her mind has blocked all these years. Well plotted, with great pacing. Lucy is a hilariously sarcastic character not usually found in psychological thrillers. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Want to know a secret is my favorite McFadden book. So Good. April seems to have it all, a handsome lawyer husband who supports her dreams of fame as a baking blogger, a angel of a son who adores her, and a best friend who always looks out for her. But, nothing is as perfect as it seems.

It is a well organized, credible source for anyone who hasn't paid attention to where the United States has been and is headed. Wake up Americans. This book is a must read!

Of course, I’m not going to murder her in the night. I need my laptop back first. That’s the whole point of making friends with Emily Harper, author of the hugely successful novel Diary of an Octopus. So I could get into her apartment and take back what’s mine. Emily doesn’t know who I really am. She thinks I’m her biggest fan, her new best friend who happens to need a place to stay for a few days. She doesn’t realize the laptop she found—and took—from a busy airport almost two years ago was mine. I don’t care about the laptop, just what's on it: my diary.

Masterfully Plotted
Revisado: 02-28-23
McFadden masterfully plotted this murderous story by presenting the POVs of each character separately in just the right order. The story follows several med students attending a university where at least one med student has committed suicide or possibly been murdered yearly for the past six years. I felt a connection with this story even when it was at its most extreme. Everything is explained hilariously yet entirely plausible. Well done. It is one of my favorites by McFadden.

Plot Plot Plot
Revisado: 01-28-23
This complicated story by Ruth Ware is so well plotted, you will start to doubt yourself just like the main character, Hannah Jones. Honestly, it is so good that I don't want to spoil the story by providing a summary. You need to read or listen for yourself. There are a few aspect that I figured out early, but the why was completely unpredictable though it was spelled out in the story all along.

Jessica Yardley just got her life in order after her husband was convicted of a series of murders. As he works to appeal his sentencing, she must find a way to protect their 15 year-old daughter.
