Historia
Nine out of ten Japanese claim some affiliation with Shinto, but in the West the religion remains the least studied of the major Asian spiritual traditions. It is so interlaced with Japanese cultural values and practices that scholarly studies usually focus on only one of its dimensions: Shinto as a "nature religion", an "imperial state religion", a "primal religion", or a "folk amalgam of practices and beliefs". Thomas Kasulis' fresh approach to Shinto explains with clarity and economy how these different aspects interrelate.

Great content, poor narration. Overall positive.

Fascinating, disappointingly poor narration. Mispronounced common words, alternated pronunciation of Amaterasu sentence to sentence. Excellent content though, commentary largely reserved for the end.

Solid story, distractingly bad performance
Revisado: 03-23-15
It's very difficult to take over for another actor. I understand this. Mr. Glover was faced with a difficult challenge. This was a very poor performance. The most disappointing thing is being in the middle of an emotional scene, then having a critical sentence bisected, the second half of the first sentence becoming some strange mutant, read without understanding even enough context to notice what happened. Despite James Marsters' problems with words like "writhed" and "wreathed", he at least delivered, from day one, an excellent presentation. Glover's voices were largely uninspired, delivery of pop culture references sound like he's never heard any before, and his strange inflection and punctuation were distracting. looking forward to returning to Marsters.
