I am white, grew up middle class in the greater suburbs of Philadelphia. Economically we did not have a challenging time. Emotionally it was a different story with my mother in & out of mental hospitals & many shock treatments. But we had opportunities & the safety net of the extended family. I left home at 18 & did what I had to do to survive, but this telling of Ms Davis’s life, struggles & grit is a story I will never forget. The struggle, the forgiveness, the love & journey is so incredible it has changed me to my core. A must read for anyone who thinks.

An absolutely beautiful, amazing and inspiring book!
I force myself to stop listening every day to lengthen my full enjoyment and experience as I thought, smiled, laughed and cried through the hours of listening. What an outstanding individual and how lucky I am to be a fellow American knowing that Ketanji Brown Jackson is one of our Supreme Court Justices.

This is an honest description of a dedicated, passionate, caring and focused person who has given his life to the service and care of others. It is a story of a life well lived and of a person who gave his full effort and devotion to the highest of personal standards and values that guided his life.

Imagine a senate & house of representatives performing their duties with similar principles & values, working together, having mature conversations & debates all for the greater good of the nation. Okay, what if it was just 50% of them - what a democracy that would be!

2024 Election

This biography couldn’t be more timely in our nation’s present times. Listen ( or read) this book & think of the candidates running. No party has a perfect platform & no candidate running is without fault, but ask yourself self when done this book, “What character of the person running should represent you & the USA,” And if one of these two candidates were alive and in charge following the Civil War, who would have been the better leader & more compassionate and better for the country.

Courageous Patriot

A story that absolutely needed to be told. We are ALL Americans first. Not just Republicans or Democrats. Why do so many of us forget this! One can disagree with out being disagreeable. Country before the individual. For the good of the country before party .
Our country was formed in decent & differences of opinion. There is nothing wrong with that. Extremism & conspiracy theories are the roots of fascism & dictatorship. Just think Russia, China & North Korea. God bless America & the Liz Cheneys of our country.

There needs to be a movie

What an incredible, moving biography of an amazing American. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of Anna Rosenberg till now. I ran an organization with 99% women in it & I am convinced that the world would be a better place with more women running things. Just an amazing story & life.
