Super spy but clueless?

Audio kept going up and down and not a consistent vol.

Bookwise… it was a bust for me. Like sooo cliched and cookie cutter for the plot. Lee was a creep, and if she had been a dude we would have been calling out the misogyny and the talking down stuff. Amanda was super smart and good at breaking codes unless Lee needed to be the cool one. Honestly felt more like a crack fix most of the time. Hate that I used a credit for it.

Bland

Did the author actually talk to women…. Or gay women about how they think or would respond in this situations? It’s not great… story comes off pretty bland and none of the characters are all that likable . Won’t be continuing the series.

There’s nothing to tie the reading into the action. It’s flat and dull because you don’t care about who is being talked about. You might as well watch p*rnhub. I like spice and I like kink… but not for the action by itself. If you want fap material this might be the choice for you… but there’s no chemistry and zeal to make it hot for me. It does not feel like it was written by a woman… and is heavy with male gaze vibes. DNF’d

Fluffy and sweet

It’s cute and fluffy… nothing very deep. I don’t feel like Ms Prince is the right choice for the narrator… she performance specifically for the spice doesn’t really add benefit but detracted a little. Over all not she’s good. It’s just her sexy voice that kills it for me

Hooked me with the heat… lost me with the plot

That first sex scene was steamy and totally what I was hoping to see more of…. But it didn’t happen till nearly the end of the books so overall it was an okay story just really wasn’t what I was looking for right now.

Narrator leaves much to be desired.

The narration killed most of my interest in this one. She gives some really weird emphasis on things, and her tone sounds amused or happy when the characters aren’t. It doesn’t help for me that the story just felt entirely too long, and overly dramatic with the “I’m too sick to love” schtick… not my favorite of Jae’s

Luke warm

Look the plot is Luke warm, the sex scenes are Luke warm… it’s seriously hard to find anything to gush about this one. There’s been better books from Stone. This is definitely the bottom of my ratings for her work. Abby Craden is a amazing…. But even she couldn’t fix this one.

Narrator?

There’s just something about the narrator’s voice that’s driving me up the wall…. It’s hard not to get fixated on the nasally tone…. There’s got to be a better way to give a “superior” tone of voice than to go that route.

Story is cute but is flawed in several spots. But still a pleasant afternoon’s worth of time

Developer a little more?

I loved it. I usually really struggle with fae based books but this was interesting. The beginning was a little slow but that’s only cuz there was so much world building that needed to be established. A little on the YA side but that’s alright…. It would have been nicer if things had delved into the romances a little more…. I feel like Nox and Arlo really should have addressed the kiss in book 1….. but I’ll let it slide as long as it’s way more in-depth of a romance in book 2. I also really have to say appreciate that there were warning tags before the story began, that’s something that would be nice if more people adapted into their books. I’ll be looking forward to the next book. The voice actors for different characters was pretty nice, I just wish that individual voices belonged to only one actor, that way traits and behaviors stayed the same…. But still worth the time.
