The beginning of this book broke my heart. I wanted everything at the beginning of this book to be perfect for Jinx and Emory. Sadly, more chaos happened. I still thoroughly enjoyed all the adventures. They had some tough times. I’m glad they figured out some of the people who could be trusted by the end and the reasons some people made the choices they made. The end was heartwarming.
I really hope for more adventures with Jinx and Emory.

So many things happened in this book. This was a difficult time for Jinx and Emory. There were new betrayals that I was not expecting. And that was hard to deal with. There were people who were once trusted and are not now. Who can they trust going forward? It’s hard to tell. Nevertheless, I was hooked throughout this entire book.

I enjoyed this short story. This was towards the beginning of Jinx’s story. It was nice to listen during the holidays. It also delved more into the beginning of her relationship with Emory. Can’t wait for more.

Great introduction to this Urban Fantasy series!

This was a great introduction to Amber & Bastion's story. They are both intriguing characters who I've wanted to learn more about. I've been introduced to both of them throughout this world and I can't wait to see where their stories go. I can't wait to dive into this series.

Amazing urban fantasy series filled w/ adventures

This is an epic urban fantasy series. It is full of adventures, mysteries, and fun. Heather G. Harris is an amazing author. I just discovered her this year (2023) and I have fallen hard for her books. Up next is The Court books which continues this series. Then there's two spin offs that you also have to listen to. The Other Wolf is already out. The other Witch is yet to come on Audible. I can't wait to devour that series as well. I hope you love Heather's books as much as I do. Alyse Gibbs is an amazing narrator. I am now looking for more series that she narrators because I enjoy her so much.

Story: This is the beginning of Jinx time with the dragon court. I loved this story. The challenges that that the court elders were quite annoying. But I loved to get to know all the new characters in the story. I can’t wait to see where this new journey goes. I know there’s a lot more chaos to come from the court.

Narrator: Alyse Gibbs is amazing!

Story: This book had it all. It made me laugh and almost cry. So much was going on. It was an amazing adventure. Can't wait for more from this series. I think I'll have to do a re-listen to put more thoughts into my review.

Story: I enjoyed the story and the adventures.

Narration: I always love this female narrator. She's a favorite. I enjoyed the male narrator as well. I may listen to more by him.

Story: I enjoyed this story. I'm writing this late so I can't remember the specifics. I liked the characters. This was steamy and there are taboo aspects.

Narration: Loved the narration. Duet narration is my favorite.

Sweet & fun story w/ amazing narration

I enjoyed this story. The narration was amazing. There were some very steamy scenes and a some mystery with the case that needed to be solved. I really loved the little girl Toni. She was funny. Sam annoyed me a bit with her infatuation with Miguel from the first minute. She just couldn't stay focused on anything because of that. Yet, in some other ways she seemed a bit more mature. Overall, it was a pretty good story.
