I love a book that starts with action and excitement. This one starts with the ship that Elodie is on being boarded by pirates and the excitement just keeps going from there. i liked the bond that was formed between Elodie and Scott right from the beginning. i also like that the relationship took a little time. getting to know the whole team and seeing their bond has me excited for future books.

this was my first book by Susan Stoker and i can't wait to get my hands on more. i've already searched out the books of the past characters mentioned in this book.

the narrators were all wonderful. 5 stars all around.

Sweet Story

overall this book was really good. she covers some serious issues and does it very well. i felt the romance was a little forced and it dragged in places. i loved all the animals, especially Boulder. Both narrators did an okay job, but were not my favorite.

Jace's Evolution

At the end of the forth book I had a pretty good hate on for Jace. He'd done some really stupid crap in that book and coming back from those actions would not be easy. But he surprised me with how far he'd come and how far he was willing to go to make Pepper see that he was a changed man. the only man for her. Though i have to admit, if it'd been me, i'd have let him suffer a little longer! lol

I really liked that we got to hear more from Jace this go around. i loved seeing Jace's transformation from the way he'd been in the previous books. i love how strong and self assured Pepper is in this book. and i love the ending.

the writing was awesome. the narration was awesome. can't wait for the next and final book.

I want to start this by saying i've never read a Pippa Grant book before and that i won this book from her and i am so glad i did. i will definitely be reading more from Ms. Grant. so instead of leaving a normal review (just gonna put here that this was an excellently fun book) i'm gonna leave a list of my favorite things from this book. no spoilers i swear.

Well, hell

i really didn't see that coming. no spoilers here, just gonna say Jace is no longer my fave person. while Pepper grew in her emotions and feelings in this book i think Jace back tracked. it was hard to listen to.

we meet some new and fun people this go around but our faves are still around though not as much. Pepper goes through a number of trials in this book and i think in the end has grown into a better person for it. maybe not a happier person but a better one.

something else i really liked in this book was that we get to hear from Jace's POV for the first time. i love hearing the male's POV. it helps ease the way he acts by understanding his reasoning for it. though i so don't agree. lol, just saying.

can't wait until the next one is release on audible.

Love Jace in this book!!

This book is my favorite one so far. there's lots of love, friendship, worry about many different things, pain, and a little mystery. i always like a good mystery. Jace really stepped up his game in this book and didn't hold back on his feelings. i also liked getting a little better look into Wes.

i enjoyed all the ups and downs the characters had to go through in this book. i like how realistic they are. in this book Pepper goes through a lot of emotions with all the different situations she's put through. Jace is getting better with his feelings and learning how to better deal with them.

all our favorites are back and going strong. thanks Ms. Dean for sharing them with us!

Bunny is a Blast!

I've been looking for something similar to listen to since finishing the Fallen Crest series for the third time in a year and I found it in Pepper Jones. This is my first book by Ali Dean and I truly enjoyed it! The characters felt like friends and I was thoroughly engrossed in their life and problems. I can't wait to move on to book 2.

I have to say though, Jace made me want to smack him pretty much throughout the entire book. I know Pepper just wanted to be there for him but I don't know if I could have forgiven him so easily.

And then there's Bunny. Everyone needs a grandmother like Bunny.

The narrator does a great job. this is my first book with her and hopefully won't be my last.
