This book had several plots which were completed and finished by the end of the story but probably relied on the reader having come to this book through reading previous ones in the series. It assumed an intimacy with previous stories which I did not have.

But when a body turns up in Maggie’s driveway, she knows it’s a message from former foes who haven’t forgotten her. Maggie turns to her local circle of old friends—all retirees from the CIA—to help uncover the truth about who is trying to kill her, and why.

What Satisfies My Dog
Revisado: 04-18-24
This well researched book explains the happy dog dance in your home. Dr. Coren’s book has validated my belief that while my current dogs’s legs are too short to allow her to drive she can probably get home from the park on her own. ( She attempted this once but was stopped at the gate by a friendly Beagle). A well written and amusing book by a dog lover. PS. I have been tempted to write about a Labrador who excelled at theft and life saving.

Historia
From the time of the Greeks and the Persians clashing in the Mediterranean, sea power has determined world power. To an extent that is often underappreciated, it still does. No one understands this better than Admiral Jim Stavridis. In Sea Power, Admiral Stavridis takes us with him on a tour of the world's oceans from the admiral's chair, showing us how the geography of the oceans has shaped the destinies of nations and how naval power has in a real sense made the world we live in today and will shape the world we live in tomorrow.

Historia
Sometime religious outsider and social disaster, sometime celebrity preacher and establishment darling, John Donne was incapable of being just one thing. In his myriad lives he was a scholar of law, a sea adventurer, a priest, an MP—and perhaps the greatest love poet in the history of the English language. Along the way he converted from Catholicism to Protestantism, was imprisoned for marrying a sixteen-year old girl without her father’s consent, struggled to feed a family of ten children, and was often ill and in pain.
