Aimed at a younger audience maybe?

Cute story but nothing overly profound. Definitely geared toward a young 20’s audience (which I didn’t realize going in) so everything seemed immature. What was more interesting to me was the vivid details of London, St Tropez and Portugal and I enjoyed the details about fashion too. The narrator sounded very young and when she was excited she sounded more like a 10 year old than a young woman.

Typical rom com but this one had a twist in that both main characters were grieving. Narration was a bit over the top and cringy but the story was cute

Two sides to social media

I liked that this story made me consider an influencer’s and a child’s right to privacy but I think more of a compromise could have been made to benefit them both. I was mostly annoyed with the daughter’s friend’s parents who overstepped and got involved where they didn’t belong.

Different than I expected

Wasn’t sure if I was going to like it at first. I thought it was going to be a bit more of a thriller. The beginning is a bit confusing until you understand the characters but I ended up really enjoying it.

Unexpected

I did not expect to like this book so much! Mel does a great job narrating it so it sounds like listening to a friend. It’s all info you know deep down but such a great reminder and gives you practical ways to use the advice in all areas of life. I skipped the chapters on dating (I’m happily married) but I found all the other parts to be relevant: career, social life, family life and the small blurb about using the theory while raising kids. So much to think about and the concept is so freeing.

This was so good. Reminded me of a Kristin Hannah book. Good mix of historical fiction, family relationships and love stories.

After reading Slow Dance I had to check out the authors other books. This is similar to Slow Dance where the story isn’t overly thrilling but the character development is great.

This was a great story about relationships. It’s not overly exciting but the character development is great. You really feel for what the main characters are going through. It’s not your typical romance but it’s much more realistic.

Weirdest book but so good

I don’t know quite how to describe this book. It’s unlike any other book I have read before. In some ways so realistic and others just so obscure. But it all works. You really feel for this girl who is just trying to do the best she can in a tough situation. She is both immature and the most mature person in her life. Definitely worth a listen.

Good beach read

Overall a solid book. Good beach read. The descriptions of the island/trip were great. It was predictable but cute and moved along at a good pace. Better than her last book.
