Historia
The unapologetic intensity with which Emily Brontë wrote this story ensures that it will forever be considered one of the greatest works of English literature. A passionate tale of a chaotic and often violent love, Wuthering Heights transcends your average romance and, with its Gothic undertones, takes the listener on a journey through one man's lustful hunt for revenge.

Horrible book
Revisado: 04-15-25
As a lover of Charlotte Brontë and other classics, I wanted to read Wuthering Heights. It’s horribly written. The story is non-sequiter, difficult to understand, and many characters have the same names so it’s nearly impossible to tell who’s doing what and their relationships to each other. The story isn’t interesting overall either. The narrator is average.

Fantastic book narrated perfectly
Revisado: 03-18-25
This book is amazing. It kicks off right at the start even though that’s not usually Anne Rice’s style. It’s very well written so the characters, scenery, and other descriptions come to life. I love the way Anne Rice wrote the main character, Merrick. The narrator did a great job. Enjoy the read!

Historia
In the latest installment of The Vampire Chronicles, Anne Rice summons up dazzling worlds to bring us the story of Armand—eternally young, with the face of a Botticelli angel. We go with Armand across the centuries to the Kiev Rus of his boyhood - a ruined city under Mongol dominion—and to ancient Constantinople, where Tartar raiders sell him into slavery. And in a magnificent palazzo in the Venice of the Renaissance we see him emotionally and intellectually in thrall to the great vampire Marius.

Coming from someone who’s loved the rest of the series, this book was sub par. Boring with no real story. The performance was whatever.

Historia
Rob Schneider’s childhood in the San Francisco Bay area with parents of mixed-race backgrounds shaped his view of the world: that America afforded the greatest opportunity for peoples from all nations and all faiths. Now, Rob keeps finding himself in controversy in Hollywood for expressing a few commonsense opinions about what woke ideology is doing to our great nation. With humor, Schneider takes on the current neoliberal authoritarians in America and argues we are living under a new kind of tyranny.

Ridiculously unique story
Revisado: 01-21-25
Anne Rice has outdone herself with this book. She creates a whole other world and has it all worked out. Akasha, the Queen of the Damned, is a VERY WELL WRITTEN character. Extremely life-like. The reader also did a great job changing his voice for all the characters.
Note: The story takes a while to takeoff in the beginning, but once you reach the middle, you’ll know it was worth it.

Historia
To the wider world, Al Pacino exploded onto the scene like a supernova. He landed his first leading role, in The Panic in Needle Park, in 1971, and by 1975, he had starred in four movies—The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Serpico, and Dog Day Afternoon—that were not just successes but landmarks in the history of film. Those performances became legendary and changed his life forever. Not since Marlon Brando and James Dean in the late 1950s had an actor landed in the culture with such force.

It’s Al Pacino for g*d’s sake
Revisado: 12-25-24
He is a real artist and had an interesting enough life for anyone to listen to this and be mesmerized.
Al gives a real inside look into his mind, creativity, and hardships. I feel I really got a taste of his passion for acting as well as a look into his celebrity life.
I would recommend this audiobook to anyone even if you have seen or love his films. However, if you are a fan than prepare to be absorbed.

The reader does an amazing job completely changing his voice for every character. The book is fantastic. It’s satirical and entertaining, but has deep poetic thoughts throughout. Extremely entertaining, thrilling, and thoughtful provoking. Dickens is an author like no other.

Amazing book. Well written with a deep meaning. The characters are incredibly alive and dynamic. The middle of the story was a little too static, but it has its purpose in the long run. A captivating classic that everyone should read. The ending shook me to tears.

Historia
No one - fictional or factual - embodies the Jazz Age as completely as F. Scott Fitzgerald's Jay Gatsby. First published in 1925, this legendary novel continues to enthrall generations as it serves as a lens to view our not-so-distant past. Many of our notions about that period are taken from this book. Bathtub gin, flappers, and house parties that last all week enliven Fitzgerald's classic tale. Stylish and engaging, The Great Gatsby is also a startling literate portrait of Gatsby's search for meaning in his opulent world.
