Mr. MacIntyre is my FAVORITE historical author. Rogue Heroes is no exception. He brings the men and their commitment to defeating the Nazis, and the sacrifices they made in order to be victorious over true evil into riveting prose. I’m going back to read Mincemeat and Agent Sonia. SO GOOD!

The narration is mediocre. She tries for various voices, but they all sound the same. The women’s voices all sound whiney and the men’s are sharp and grating.

The great thing about the Jackson & Evans series is that her plots are not predictable. You’ll be kept guessing, but the ending makes total sense. Her characters have depth and are well developed. R. Armitrage is a superior narrator.

I read mysteries all the time. I almost always have the murderer figured out. This book had several unexpected twists that I didn’t guess. As a BONUS! The hero police featured are diverse and LIKABLE! Highly recommend.

Andy Serkis gives an outstanding performance of a beloved classic. I have listened to many versions of LOTR, and this one is miles ahead of the rest! Absolutely an exceptionally fine performance.

This book brought back that tragedy. I’m an Idahoan and was 12 when this occurred. The stories of the men is well told here. Heartbreaking, informative and enthralling. My Audible had a few glitches in the recording, and the narrator needs to AT LEAST learn how to pronounce the place names. It’s Boy-see, not Boy-zee, and St. Marie’s not St Mary’s.

Charlotte MacLeod is known for her witty turn of phrase. This is a delightful romp into the type of world made known by the likes of CS Lewis and Lewis Carrol. She takes Peter Shandy with her on this adventure, and those of us who love that series will enjoy this to no end. I laughed out loud many times.
