Historia
We all have inner demons. We fight them all the time. Some of us achieve inner peace by coming to terms with them. But how do you come to terms with inner demons that tear free and become outer demons? Eric has been a vampire for nearly a century, and his demons are more than metaphors. While they controlled him, he was the Demon King. Now he has to avoid the monsters in his own mind, as well as angry nobles, fanatical religions, assassins, magi, other vampires, criminal organizations, and more.

Frustrating
Revisado: 11-20-16
Totally despise main character. He seemed smart, clever and powerful in first two books until the ending of the second book. Now he's a tragic and foolish figure whom puts everyone he cares about into ever increasing danger. hopefully he will be killed outright early on in the next book and Mary can take over as the main character.

Historia
It's not easy being king. Especially when you've got an allergy to sunrise and sunset, a fire goddess for a mother-in-law, demonic adversaries, random assassins, and a basement full of insecurities to cope with. Add to that his daughter, the fire priestess/princess; a couple of lightly deranged professional magicians; a whole city full of wizards; and enough squabbling princes to resemble a kindergarten argument. It's enough to make a man want to just go home.

Good story for the most part.
Revisado: 11-20-16
Always good performance from the narrator. Keeps you listening all the way through, but the last chapter left me dissatisfied. listened through for a second time with the same result. I just can't buy the last part, its like the author can't decide between demon entity possession or evil twin from his subconscious. The main character contradicted himself by not listening to others and repeated similar foolish mistakes he's made in the past with catastrophic results. In fact I'm growing to deeply dislike the main character. Hopefully it can be fixed in the next book.

Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Great story, very enjoyable.

Eerily similar to the work of Mark Tufo. If you like his work you will love this. Excellent job by the narrator as always.

Historia
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Dissapointed and disturbed.
Revisado: 01-12-13
I have waited a few days since i finished listening to this story, in order to reflect on it before commenting. I am not sure that i will ever listen to this one again. I have been a big fan of the series since it began. When Robert Jordan died i was more upset than when i have lost close family members. When The Gathering Storm was published and i read it, i was overjoyed and it gave me back something i felt was lost forever. I have never been unhappy with any of the books up until now. I have them all on audio. The books i have read and re-read many times almost to their destruction. I knew that i would be saddened to see the end of the series, but i would never have imagined that I would be angry, frustrated, maddened and annoyed. There was no respect for the characters that have carried the series up to this point!
Brandon Sanderson did a wonderful job of the last two books, why did he have to ruin this one? He is fond of killing the best characters in his own stories, which is why I don't like his other books much. I intend to write my own book based on this series (not for publish, but for my own enjoyment and perhaps for some of my friends) and i will undo some of what was done!

A Masterwork of a story
Revisado: 01-21-12
This is a great story. There are many characters so be sure to listen carefully and memorize them as you go and you will enjoy it as much as i did. It is long, which is a plus in my opinion, but persevere and you will be richly rewarded. The scary part of this book is that its not as far fetched as you might expect from other works by this author and you find yourself wondering seriously if events such as take place in this book could really happen. If you are interested in government conspiracy and area 51 this is definitely going to draw you in.

Very well produced but poorly written
Revisado: 01-13-12
The way this book is presented with sound effects background music is great and the only thing good about it. The story itself beyond the first couple of chapters is a mishmash of historical events and myths badly put together in a most unsatisfactory and confusing manor.
