Love
Revisado: 04-18-25
I loved it all! I live in Montana, and I wish I could have lived in the south so I could better understand the ways of the people. It sounds like a lovely place to live! I loved how she ended her book about giving everything to Jesus instead of trying to handle it alone. It helped me understand more about my relationship with Jesus. Thank you for a wonderful book!

The narration was great, the story is great, but it’s not my kind of book. It’s way too sad and depressing.

Confusing-too many voices
Revisado: 04-08-25
I believe this would have been a good story had it been narrated as a book and not like a movie. Although some voices were easily identifiable, many were not, and it was too difficult to try to keep track of who was talking. Also, the story was too fake and if it was intended to be a real story, it should’ve lasted at least an hour or two longer than what was crammed into this book/audio movie.

Historia
DS George Cross can be rude, difficult, and awkward with people. But his unfailing logic and relentless pursuit of justice means his conviction rate is the best on the force. When a ravaged body is found in a local demolition site, it is up to Cross to piece together the truth from whatever fragments he can find. DS Cross has little to go on, but from the faint tan lines on the body and strange scars on his forearms, an identity gradually emerges. Cross mounts an investigation that will uncover jealousy, ambition and a family tearing itself apart.

Excellent! Great series!
Revisado: 02-05-25
A great change from your typical murder mystery. I loved it that there weren’t 8 million people to try to keep track of, and that it was a true mystery, and not just a bloody who done it!

How ridiculously unrealistic!
Revisado: 10-13-24
I listened to the Atticus priest series and thought it was great! It was the first series of books I had listened to by Mark Dawson. Based on how much I enjoyed that series, those I had High Hopes for all his books. Then I listened to Witness X, (the first book out of two books in this series) and it too was ridiculously unrealistic. It was so outlandish, I almost didn’t listen to this book, but I thought it HAS to be better than Witness X, and I should have skipped it after all. I’m pretty sure I won’t be listening to the Milton series because they seem like they are going to be along the same lines as these two books. I have listened to over 500 audiobooks, and have only written 12 reviews. I’m so disappointed.

Revisado: 08-30-24
Great “who done it” story that was actually plausible, not just a bunch of killings, lots of blood, and a psycho killer. There wasn’t a bunch of names I had to try to remember! One of the best mysteries I have ever listened to, and I have listened to a ton of them! The narrator was fabulous!

Revisado: 06-15-24
This book has moved up to one of my favorite murder mysteries. It is a refreshing change from other murder mysteries I have read. I also appreciated it did not have a whole bunch of characters to try to remember! I sell them right reviews, but I certainly don’t want anyone to miss this one!

Had to stop listening to it! Don’t waste your time!
Revisado: 04-03-24
I usually like John Sandford‘s books, but this one was absolutely terrible. The plot was boring, the attempt to speak like an Indian, was even worse. I kept waiting for the plot to get better, but it continually got worse until I could not take one more second of listening to it! Glad it was a free one! The first one in this series, rules of prey, was excellent! I hope book 3 (eyes of prey), and on, are more like book, one, and not book 2!!! Especially because I have already purchased all 20 books!!!

Historia
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

This is a must read!
Revisado: 01-16-24
This book is the best book I have ever read, (listened to)! I read a ton of audiobooks and this one is going to be hard to beat. I could not put it down! I very seldom write a review, but this book is amazing! both the story, and the narrating was outstanding! It was to the point without a bunch of that flowery nonsense going on! I also appreciated the fact that it did not get into sex stuff. I learned so much about bees and how amazing they are! More importantly, I learned so much about transgenders and the difficulties and challenges they have to deal with, not only within themselves, but with ALL others! I had never really given it a thought, and I have a new huge respect for them. It is truly shameful the way they are treated and it makes me so angry how people can be so unkind. I hope and pray you co-author another book real soon!!!
