Historia
This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

An eye opening look into hidden history
Revisado: 02-01-23
This book opened my eyes to how this country is ran. Blacks and rednecks are cut from the same cloth and don’t realize it. The way this country plays on the fake hate between the two is reckless. Put the two together and they will see past the fake hate and eventually become friends. They count on people not reading or researching any of this books content. Somehow, I don’t think this book will get the press and overall traction that it needs to move from underground book stores and collegiate reading groups to make a difference. Highly recommended!

Historia
The first skirmishes are already being fought. The crisis America faces is between two incompatible visions of the future, and a nation sharply divided between them. Will we become this diverse beacon of tolerance where we forget our past and embrace socialism and political correctness? Or, will we stand for our traditional beliefs, values, liberty, and sovereign government as free citizens our Founders did?

An eye opener

I listen to everything from both sides of this topic. Tom’s views are what many Americans think. Two sides to this coin and I can only hope that we can come together as a nation to avoid what he speaks of. But I fear that the ball is in motion.

Historia
Scottie Pippen has been called one of the greatest NBA players for good reason. Simply put, without Pippen, there are no championship banners - let alone six - hanging from the United Center rafters. There’s no Last Dance documentary. There’s no “Michael Jordan” as we know him. The 1990s Chicago Bulls teams would not exist as we know them. So how did the youngest of 12 go from growing up poor in the small town of Hamburg, Arkansas, enduring two family tragedies along the way, to become a revered NBA legend?

Long and dry
Revisado: 02-25-22
It was like a long sports show. Filled with stats and scores. Berry little story. Scottie didn’t give enough story. If you are interested in points and play by play cometary, this is for you. I didn’t get a story until the last few chapters. Also, the narrator was bland. No emotion at all.

Historia
Based on hundreds of interviews with the people who lived the story, Game Change is a reportorial tour de force that reads like a fast-paced novel. Character driven and dialogue rich, replete with extravagantly detailed scenes, this is the occasion-ally shocking, often hilarious, ultimately definitive account of the campaign of a lifetime.

What made the experience of listening to Game Change the most enjoyable?
Very good narration solid material made this one a huge hit. If you are into politics, this is a must read. The candid look into politics at this level is astonishing. Its like the NFL's "Hard Knocks" for Washington's elite.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
Almost flawlessly delivered.
Which scene was your favorite?
Bill asking why he didnt know about Obama until...
Reminds me of Robert Redford and Paul Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid..."Who is this guy?"

In The 50th Law, hip hop and pop culture icon 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) joins forces with Robert Greene, best-selling author of The 48 Laws of Power, to write a "bible" for success in life and work based on a single principle: fear nothing. With intimate stories from 50 Cent's life on the streets and in the boardroom as he rose to fame after the release of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin', as well as examples of others who have overcome adversity through understanding and practicing the 50th Law.

An urban take on classic scenarios
Revisado: 05-03-12
What did you love best about The 50th Law?
I give this book high marks because it hits on classic lessons that have been told for years with a sometimes gritty urban take. For a city slicker who grew up as a Gen X'r, I really got the concepts with the modern examples. There are many ways to tell this tale and in listening to this book, I clearly see that this is another marketing strategy for Mr. Jackson. I can also see how he got to where he is today. Not at all what I expected in a "Rapper". Each move in his career is extremely well thought out and executed with the ferocity of a man with no fear and surgical accuracy. "Vitamin Water"...? Nobody saw that one coming. BRAVO!
What other book might you compare The 50th Law to and why?
48 Laws of Power
