Historia
Drawing on dozens of intimate audio interviews with families from all across the country, award-winning psychologist and writer Andrew Solomon redefines what it means to be an “ideal family” in America today. Solomon observes that America, led in large part by the women’s, civil rights, and gay rights movements, has undergone a radical social shift in the last few decades. Although the structure of family has changed, economic and legal structures lag behind and need to adapt to accommodate this explosive new reality.

Historia
This audiobook is for highly sensitive people who have felt out of place in the modern world. It provides a narrative that describes how they fit into a lineage of creatives throughout history. Jacob Nordby offers a bold new definition of success in the modern era. "The only success now is living and creating a work-of-art life: unique, rich with meaning, naked of anything we don't care about, and ruthless about carving out something absolutely real from a world that has gorged itself on fakeness and become critically ill from it."

I unexpectedly related to so many experiences!
Revisado: 12-21-18
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was just what I needed to hear. I heard the sample and new I wanted to listen to more. Nordby summed up the experiences of those who always felt different, wanted to make a difference and never connected to the masses directly yet had great empathy for everything. It's pointers on how to connect with yourself on a journey of purpose and self discovery. Let it open your eyes to great food for thought. Quick read. I will definitely be reading it again.

Historia
Arianwyn has flunked her witch's assessment. She knows she's doomed. Declared an apprentice and sent to the town of Lull in disgrace, Arianwyn may never become a real witch like everyone else - much to the glee of her archrival, Gimma. But the remote Lull is not as boring as it seems. Strange things are being sighted in the woods, and a dangerous infestation of hex creeps throughout the town. Then the worst thing Arianwyn can imagine arrives in Lull: Gimma turns up on vacation determined to make her life miserable.

The story was very sweet and easy on the ears. A good story for teens. It was an easy 2 day listen or one day if you binge.
