Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Thank god they fixed the narration
Revisado: 08-25-23
This is by far one of the best fantasy books I’ve read in a long time. Worth the hype.
For those wary of the narrator ratings- it seems as though it’s been re-recorded and it’s so much better than it was.

For Sewanee Chester, being an audiobook narrator is a long way from her old dreams, but the days of being a star on film sets are long behind her. She’s found success and satisfaction from the inside of a sound booth and it allows her to care for her beloved, ailing grandmother. When she arrives in Las Vegas last-minute for a book convention, Sewanee unexpectedly spends a whirlwind night with a charming stranger.

Captivating story, excellent narration!
Revisado: 11-12-22
J’adore!! This book is a total gem. The story itself is a beautiful, fresh take on elemental magic, woven together with strong characters- a brilliant, kickass FMC (Naime) and a reckless, swoon-worthy, quasi-beta MMC (Makram), and plot arcs that move the story quickly without sacrificing gorgeous world-building. It’s everything a romantasy devotee like me could ask for.
Narration was excellent- both readers were pleasing to listen to and bring the MC’s to life!Full disclosure: I initially read this book, and it’s sequels and prequel in print, but I am primarily an audiobook listener. I have been waiting for this book to go audio for a long time, and I am so incredibly relieved/glad that they chose narrators who could do justice to some of my favorite literary characters. For those who are wondering: the sequels are just. as. amazing. as Reign and Ruin.
Worth allllll the credits!!! Buy it!

An incredible finale
Revisado: 12-05-20
What an amazing end... this whole series has been incredible, and the final installment is no different. Tahir is a master of making her readers feel every feeling imaginable, and of writing characters we root for, love, hate... sometimes all at the same time. Worth every minute. A fantastic performance by all narrators!
