Outwardly, Craig was a highly successful & functioning professional man in spite of a ‘2 bottles of wine a night’ drinking habit. For 20 years he struggled to control his drinking, all the time refusing to label himself an alcoholic because he didn't believe he met the stereotypical image that the word portrayed.

What made the experience of listening to Alcohol Lied To Me - Extended Edition the most enjoyable?
I listened to this book a few times before it really sank in. Beck gives practical tools while all the while ridding the judgement associated with the labels others give us and the ideas we have of ourselves. As soon as I learned the truth behind the media pushing alcohol, the truth of the chemistry in our brain and alcohol and it's effect on my body, it was a no brainer.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Alcohol Lied To Me - Extended Edition?
My brain is powerful and also very gullible! I believed for a long time that my healthiness was due to me killing all the daily germs with many vodkas each night! Now, days into Craig's vitamin regimen, I have a new belief about my health! He even dealt with the insomnia from quitting drinking!

This is a must for anyone who can't see themselves in a program, but knows something has to be done. I'm so glad I found this book and so is my family!
