Historia
At eleven years of age, Rosalind Ainsworth was convinced that Sebastian Lumley, the future Duke of Kelbrook, was the most odious young man she’d ever met. And ten years later, after having had no contact with the nobleman in the intervening time, her opinion of him has not changed. Unfortunately, neither has their marriage contract. As Rosalind’s appointed wedding day approaches, Sebastian makes a rare appearance in London. His first meeting with Rosalind since childhood goes less than perfectly, but Sebastian has a compelling reason for honoring their marriage contract.

Not as exciting as the other books in this series
Revisado: 08-27-23
This was kind of a letdown after listening to the other books in the Georgian Gentleman series. The only excitement in the story came near the end. I enjoyed the other books much more.

Someone has forged her design, and the priceless diamond is gone. Mrs. Katsaros has no desire to bring media attention to the jewelry heist, so she recruits her nephew, Quinn, and his FBI agent friend, Steve, to do some sleuthing off the record.

Good plot, but narrator was too slow, even at a higher speed setting
Revisado: 08-09-23
Narrator paused for so long between so many sentences, it kind of threw the story off, as I spent more time wondering when she would start speaking again instead of wondering what was going to happen next. Author wrote a good story, though.

Good story, great narration

I did find it hard to believe that the heroine took till the end of the book to realize that the hero loved and wanted her, even with all the clues he and his family were giving her.

First chapters somewhat depressing

Starts with a murder of a familiar character, and the grief and nightmares resulting from that are heavy for awhile. The heroine does start feeling better eventually. Author is very skilled in bringing history to life.

Good story, narration somewhat slow

Good, clean, short story with some mystery, excitement, and love. Narrator performed well, but she made some of the characters speak too slowly. I set the speed at 1.2 and that made it just right.
