Historia
In a see-through land our reflections live. They call us Sounds. They are our Echoes. And they think that they must die when we do. Is this why children are disappearing from the Sound realm? Because someone wants their Echo to die? Twelve-year-old Will Cleary tries to escape the frightening answer. But dangers sweep him into that magical, see-through land. And there, in a fortress filled with castaway children, a 200-year-old riddle lies buried.

Mystery, Magic, & Adventure
Revisado: 12-25-21
A beautiful young-adult novel that prods the imagination and personifies sounds and echos in an entirely different light. Twelve-year-old William Clearly was one amongst thousands of children that went missing, yet he was the only one who returned. He was found riding on a wolf's back, with a falcon flying above him. The two animals had protected him in the ten years since they brought him home. His twin sister, and all the other children, are still missing. His parents barely notice him in their ceaseless search for his sister: his mother searching in a frozen pond and his father in every bit of literature. Days before his thirteenth birthday the wolf and the falcon reveal a secret reality to his own, Echoland, Here, the true adventure begins!
The book is beautifully written, easy to follow, and with a strong storyline. The tone is well carried and the author's voice is congruent throughout the book The plot unfolding was beautiful; small hints at the mysteries of this land turn out to be part of larger realizations. These little hints are scattered throughout the book even in the very first pages, so read closely and pay attention to detail! All the smaller plot twists lend to an entrenching story that keeps one on one's toes! It truly is wonderfully imaginative and beautifully written.

Historia
July 12, 1939: Perry Nelson is driving along the palisades when another vehicle swerves into his lane, a tire blows out, and his car careens off the road and over a bluff. The last thing he sees before his head connects with the boulders below is a girl in a green bathing suit, prancing along the shore.

It’s wonderful to find his themes and be engulfed by his futuristic writings. Even a fan of gospodin Robert A. Heinlein
