Historia
Paul Bäumer is just 19 years old when he and his classmates enlist. They are Germany’s Iron Youth who enter the war with high ideals and leave it disillusioned or dead. As Paul struggles with the realities of the man he has become, and the world to which he must return, he is led like a ghost of his former self into the war’s final hours. All Quiet is one of the greatest war novels of all time, an eloquent expression of the futility, hopelessness and irreparable losses of war.

good story
Revisado: 03-29-23
I always enjoyed watching Craig on television, and I feel he brought an extra element of fun to a sideline report with his wardrobe, his interactions, and his knowledge. This book was pretty good, but the reading/performance was brutal at times.

Historia
For more than 25 years, David Sedaris has been carving out a unique literary space, virtually creating his own genre. A Sedaris story may seem confessional, but is also highly attuned to the world outside. It opens our eyes to what is at absurd and moving about our daily existence. And it is almost impossible to listen without laughing.

Historia
Dave Rubin launched his political talk show The Rubin Report in 2015 as a meeting ground for free thinkers who realize that partisan politics is a dead end. He hosts people he both agrees and disagrees with - including those who have been dismissed, deplatformed, and despised - taking on the most controversial issues of our day. As a result, he’s become a voice of reason in a time of madness. Now, Rubin gives you the tools you need to think for yourself in an age when tribal outrage is the only available alternative.

Revisado: 06-26-20
Fantastic book Dave! I pre-ordered this thing months ago, and I couldn’t wait to take my dogs for long walks so I could have some time away from screaming kids & listen to chunks of the book. The stories were great, & the message was on point. I can’t wait to get friends & family with opposing viewpoints to check this book out so real discussions can finally take place.

needs a better narrator
Revisado: 06-26-20
The book was pretty good, but the guy reading the book drove me nuts. A lot of the stories told were already known from hearing Don Jr. on various radio shows, but they sounded less than interesting coming from James Edward Thomas’ mouth; the guy was trying way too hard to sound dramatic & ended up sounding foolish. The book would have been more well rec’d if Don Jr read it.

love the author, liked the book
Revisado: 12-28-18
I’m a huge Tucker fan, and I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t love it. The majority of the book was Tucker reading stats & reporting data. It was interesting, but I felt like I was listening to an episode of his nightly show, minus the hard-hitting interviews and back/forth banter.

Historia
That stammer. Those basset-hound eyes. That bone-dry wit. There has never been another comedian like Bob Newhart. In this, his first audiobook ever, Newhart gives his brilliant and bemused twist on a multitude of topics, including flying, the trials of a family holiday in a Winnebago, and more serious subjects, such as golf. And, of course, there are side-splittingly funny stories from his life and career. Who else has a drinking game named after him? ("Hi, Bob!")

The man who invented shock rock tells the amazing and, yeah, shocking story of how he slayed his thirsty demons with a golf club. It started one day when Cooper was watching a Star Trek rerun between concerts, bored and drunk on a quart-of-whiskey-a-day habit. A friend dragged the rocker out of his room and suggested a round of golf. Cooper has been a self-confessed golf addict ever since.
