Historia
Audie Award, Humor, 2016. In Furiously Happy, number-one New York Times best-selling author Jenny Lawson explores her lifelong battle with mental illness. A hysterical, ridiculous book about crippling depression and anxiety? That sounds like a terrible idea. But terrible ideas are what Jenny does best.

Delightfully bizarre.

If you could sum up Furiously Happy in three words, what would they be?
"Let your Freak Flag Fly." Okay, that was 5 words, but I'm alright with that.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Furiously Happy?
I love that she makes up new words and runs with it. "Foxen?" Sure. Why not. The cats names are also all ridiculously amazing.
What does Jenny Lawson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I LOVE that she reads her own book. So many times I dislike when the author retells a story, but I feel like this NEEDED to come from her. She even has a chapter about it.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I listen to books on tape when I run and this book continuously reminds me that I must look insane. No ONE laughs while they're running, and yet, I do. Thank you, Jenny Lawson for making me look insane when I run.

Historia
Two girls survive a terrible flood in the Tasmanian bush and are rescued by a pair of Tasmanian tigers who raise them in the wild. Their story of survival is remarkable, as they adapt to the life of the tiger, learning to hunt and to communicate without the use of human language. When they are discovered and returned to civilization, neither can adapt to being fully human after their extraordinary experience. Totally believable, their story will both shock and captivate listeners as it explores the animal instincts that lie beneath our civilized veneer.

Heartbreaking, but beautiful.

If you could sum up Into That Forest in three words, what would they be?
Well written, heartbreaking, fascinating
Who was your favorite character and why?
Ernie was my favorite character because he had to view Hannah's tale as an outsider, watching destruction occur without being able to stop it. His kindness wasn't an obligation toward the girls, he wasn't related to either of them, he just was fated in their story.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved when the seasons turned cold and the girls had follow the tigers on a long hunt toward the ocean in order to hunt seals and sea muscles. They became survivors. This part made me feel as close as the girls were to nature. It gave me a sense of beauty on relying on oneself and to whatever community we create to live.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and no. There were parts that broke my heart and I had to stop listening. This also insn't a story that is gripping like a murder mystery. It's the type of story that you sort of float along with. It is beautiful and tragic.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Absolutely Gripping
Revisado: 02-26-15
What made the experience of listening to The Girl on the Train the most enjoyable?
The narrators were all incredible and did not nuance the listening experience at all. Sometimes I find when listening to a audio book, the narrators can totally ruin the experience. This was NOT the case in this book. I listened to "A Girl On the Train" on a 6 hour car ride from Arizona to California and after that 6 hours were done I continued to sit in my driveway because I needed to know the end. I finished the last 2 hours of the book while running and I ran an extra 10 miles because I was so into the plot.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
YES! If you love "Gone Girl" unreliable narrator type mysteries this is the PERFECT book. You don't know who to trust and Paula Hawkins does a wonderful job at keeping the mystery until the very end.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrators added spoken word characteristics to Rachel, Anna, and Megan that made me feel like I was inside another persons head. Each narrator had their own personality and tonal quality that I loved and made me feel even more connected to the women in the book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Gripping, right until the very end.
Any additional comments?
Loved it, great book to listen to in a car, running, walking, or just sitting in the house!
