Historia
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.

The music between the chapters are awkward and the reading is a bit difficult but the story is wickedly wonderful.

Justin always leaves me on the edge of my seat
Revisado: 11-08-17
I love Justin Swapp stories. they always leave me hanging on the edge of my seat. he told me if I gave an honest review he'd give me a credit to listen to this book. I've wanted to read it since I heard about it honestly. these kids discovering family magic and going to a crazy journey on summer break. Ellie has to learn to be outgoing and adventurous while Marcus has to learn how to be less rash and more focused. I'm not sure Ellie ever learns her lesson, maybe in book 2, but Marcus certainly learns his.
it turns into a whose going to do what type of thing there for a minute. if you like YA/middle grade novels, I recommend this. it's interesting and quick with dazzling imagery.

Historia
Eva never really wanted to be a mother - and certainly not the mother of a boy who ends up murdering seven of his fellow high school students, a cafeteria worker, and a much-adored teacher who tried to befriend him, all two days before his 16th birthday. Now, two years later, it is time for her to come to terms with marriage, career, family, parenthood, and Kevin’s horrific rampage, in a series of startlingly direct correspondences with her estranged husband, Franklin.

Ambiguity at its finest.
Revisado: 06-27-17
Emma has a magnanimous voice that suits this tale beautifully. The ambiguity Henry James keeps throughout is enough to keep a good reader hooked. I loved this book and this rendition. It is definitely one to think about.

The original Codex stories appeared in The Crimson Pact anthologies as The Transition and The Merging. These stories are connected to each other, and to Failed Crusade at their roots, but occur many years later. They follow an unsuspecting foreign exchange student named Sloan Boyle. A seemingly innocent interaction with a stranger in a Spanish Cafe leads to a dangerous series of events, and a weighty discovery that threatens everything Sloan ever knew about this world and his role in it.
