Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

Historia
We humans tend to get in our own way time and time again - whether it comes to not speaking up for ourselves, going back to bad romantic partners, our umpteenth diet, or engaging in any of a range of bad habits we just can’t seem to shake. In Rewire, renowned psychotherapist Richard O’Connor, PhD, reveals why our bad habits die so hard. We have two brains - one a thoughtful, conscious, deliberative self, and the other an automatic self that does most of the work without our attention.

Historia
New research has revealed that myelin, once considered an inert form of insulation for brain cells, may be the holy grail of acquiring skill. Journalist Daniel Coyle spent years investigating talent hotbeds, interviewing world-class practitioners (top soccer players, violinists, fighter, pilots, artists, and bank robbers) and neuroscientists. In clear, accessible language, he presents a solid strategy for skill acquisition.

Hey Parents!, this is useful stuff
Revisado: 03-09-14
This is a simple, well structure treaty on the physiology and philosophy of the learning process which serves as a blueprint for teaching and coaching. This is in general, one of the tools parents (sometimes unknowingly) are looking for. It debunks the believe on born abilities and answers the question on: How we can help our children (or at least explain to them) how to achieve their best?

Historia
For the past 50 years, popular culture has led us to believe in the left brain vs. right brain theory of personality types. It would be an illuminating theory if it did not have one major drawback: It is simply not supported by science. In contrast, the Top Brain, Bottom Brain theory is based on solid research that has stayed within the confines of labs all over the world—until now.

Finally!!, a practical tool for behaviour analisis
Revisado: 01-04-14
Although human behavior is very complex and this study is far from exhaustive, definitely lays the foundation for further studies complexity and debunks the popular simplistic belief of "left side and right side". However, all studies in these terms may be incorporated into this new theory taking effective implications. E.g. in studies based on stimulation sides of the brain and the damage caused by accident or illness. It's like the evolution in mental terms of classical physics to modern physics (we definitely, will have to wait for quantum or relative physics). Highly recommended!!!

Esperaba mas que una voz cachonda explicándolo!
Revisado: 08-01-13

According to Freud, our unconscious impulses are not random, but packed with meaning, taking on color, form, and even a storyline. All dreams are actually wish fulfillments, and interpreting them can bridge the gap to the conscious, resulting in more meaningful living.

The theme is one of the most challenging and interesting there is!. It has been for a long time! Freud and his theory of psychoanalysis revolutionize the modern society as a thinking, evolving body. This is must listen to any one caring for the basics of modern life.

Historia
This stand-alone work is widely regarded as Asimov's best science fiction novel. Andrew Harlan is an Eternal, a member of the elite of the future. One of the few who live in Eternity, a location outside of place and time, Harlan's job is to create carefully controlled and enacted Reality Changes. These Changes are small, exactingly calculated shifts in the course of history, made for the benefit of humankind. Though each Change has been made for the greater good, there are also always costs....

Revisado: 07-31-13
This is a must for real science fiction fans, Isaac Asimov is perhaps the master of the genre and in this story he takes it to the "time" dimension in a way I never had read it before. Am sure many other will definitely enjoy the style, pace and ambientation.

The stop smoking reference guide!
Revisado: 07-31-13
This is definitely the stop smoking reference guide, as it does a great job explaining the whys and hows of the addiction. As with many other habits, ignorance is the main cause. Even if you don't stop smoking your understanding will make you see the habit from a different perspective. I would highly recommend the live seminar too as it include a hypnosis session. But off course the cost is greater.

Great in story telling, no so great to emulate!
Revisado: 07-31-13
As I was aware by the title this is a entertaining story and for sure an example of the human spirit. It will not be so great for people looking to emulate the authors process as perhaps you will need to become an alcoholic before living out the drink for 10 years (yeah not a great idea!). As for the reference to the foods and drinks used, I found that the best is to buy the hard copy (which I haven't done) but took it out of the shelve and look decent enough and worth buying (if you are not poor as me).
