Historia
Nine hundred light-years from home, Major Andrew Grayson and the crew of NACS Washington are marooned in a sunless system with limited water, reactor fuel, and food. The last hope for survival is to go where nothing human has gone before. After embarking on a scouting mission to the only moon with surface signs of life, Andrew and his Special Tactics Team make two startling discoveries. One is a dream: a form of protein and plant life that could save the starving humans in the rogue system. The second is a nightmare: this harvested rock is infested with Lankies.

I criticized the previous title in this series for ending on a cliffhanger. I still don't forgive the author for that, but he is definitely back on his game with this one. Audio performance was on point as well.

When Helen invites her over to their house to help organize a home office, she jumps at the opportunity. But as the day goes on, she encounters something she shouldn’t and gets caught up in the sinister nature of other people’s property and private lives.

Historia
I don’t agree with many of the words you’ve used, but I will give you this: They do have a way of looking at you sideways that can be unsettling. So begins a letter from Nathaniel, a PhD candidate who’s recently moved from the east coast to Orinda, California. Nathaniel knows that his brother, Brice, who still lives near their mother in Michigan, couldn’t possibly understand the nuances of his and Cate’s new life: their eclectic community, their work in academia, and the liberal, alternative thinking that shapes the way they’ve handled their fertility issues.

I have no idea what the point of this story was. Forty minutes of my life that I'll never get back. Narrator was good - unfortunate that the source material was so bad.

Historia
The news is full of disturbing events today. There's war and rumors of war. There's the false recovery of the economy. Faith in the US economy is extremely low. Foreign banks have either slowed their purchases of Treasury Bonds or, in a few cases, begun unloading them. We have a current election that is rife with corruption, extreme partisanship, and outright fraud. It would appear the left in the country is ready to do about anything to see their candidate elected.

Odd
Revisado: 05-15-22
Performance was adequate, despite the odd timing of some of the pauses. The story itself was off, though. Lots of details and incidents were brought up, only to be dropped, leaving the listener hanging. I mean, if it's not important to the plot or to character development, why bring it up? The actions of the characters were inconsistent, and their interaction often awkward when it didn't need to be. Not as good as other titles by the same author.

Historia
Life is hard enough for a teenage girl in 1950s suburbia without having a mother who may—or may not—be a witch. A single mother at that. Sure, she fits in with her starched dresses, string of pearls, and floral aprons. Then there are the hushed and mystical consultations with neighborhood women in distress. The unsavory, mysterious plants in the flower beds. The divined warning to steer clear of a boyfriend whose fate is certainly doomed.

No, Just No
Revisado: 04-09-22
The performance was quite good, but the story was absurd and tiring. I struggled to finish, and once I did, I regretted the fifty-seven minutes of my life that I'd wasted listening to it. The only redeeming aspect was that it was "included with my membership" and I didn't pay for it.
