Good for narration
Revisado: 01-26-25
We are using this as part of our homeschool program. I don’t like that the chapters aren’t broken up. But I do like that the voices switch every few minutes. It’s helpful to stop and narrate at the voice changes. Overall the audio is well done, though some of the words will show the dating of this book. It’s a good comprehensive narrative of American history.

Historia
Captain Marryat's The Children of the New Forest is a wonderful tale in narrative, historically rich and quite fascinating. This story of adventure, treachery, and love takes place during the English Civil War, when fellow countrymen are found enemies, and are set against each other, Roundhead and Cavalier, Parliament and the King. Many hoped for the same thing: justice. But, for a long time, neither could find it. In the midst of all were the Beverlies, the family of a faithful Cavalier, who died in service of the king.

Barrie works an indisputable magic on listeners of all ages in this classic tale of the boy who wouldn't grow up. As a baby, Peter Pan fell out of his carriage and was taken by fairies to Neverland. There, he can fly and is the champion of the Lost Boys and a friend to the fairy Tinker Bell. Revisiting England, Peter becomes involved with Wendy Darling and her younger brothers, all of whom accompany Peter to Neverland. The children have many adventures and vanquish the pirate Captain Hook.

Wonderful and Imaginative
Revisado: 03-24-23
My 7 year old and I really enjoyed this. Several parts however, didn’t age well. References to the Native Americans were cringy and a few lines with “ass.” But the story overall is full of adventure and everything kids love!

Historia
Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Storyline issues
Revisado: 08-26-20
I enjoyed it over all being a fan of the series. The first part of the book was slow and depressing, but it did get much better towards the middle. The storyline doesn’t quite match up with the Twlight story, having differences in minor details. The reader did a great job on their performance! Overall a fun read if you are already a fan of the books.
