Historia
Many of us tend to live as though Jesus represents the "spiritual part" of our lives. We don't clearly see how he relates to the rest of our experiences, desires, and habits. How can Jesus, the Bible, and Christianity become more than a compartmentalized part of our lives? Highly regarded New Testament scholar and popular teacher Jonathan Pennington argues that we need to recover the lost biblical image of Jesus as the one true philosopher who teaches us how to experience the fullness of our humanity in the kingdom of God.

Surprised by how helpful this book was!!

It took me a bit to get used to the narrator, but the content was excellent: interesting details about ancient and modern philosophers, religions and self-help techniques, as well as practical ways to discover fulfillment in life through all the peaks and valleys.
I especially liked the chapter on Relationships and recommended it to our college age children. I’ll be looking for a hard copy of this book to refer to and share.

Historia
After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history.

Bad writing, worse narration

I really wanted to listen to this book so I could watch the series with my daughter, but it was so BORING! I made it to chapter 38, then checked to see *how long is this book?!* (65 chapters) and decided to RETURN. Waste of time. The repetition of "he said", "she said", "Charlie said", etc. in addition to all the minor characters (who were never developed enough to capture my attention) just bored me.
