Tommy Angelo brings a remarkable clarity to a complex game. I’ve read two of his books, and was happy to discover this article. His analysis helped to transform my game and I was able to change up my approach immediately. We think all of poker has been dissected and revealed. For me, it certainly hasn't. Tommy gave me ideas about preflop play I wouldn't have considered. And he ditched the dense math-chat which I sometimes struggle with, found in a lot of poker content today. I've studied other poker writers who make suitedness one of the highest values for our starting hands. Here, Tommy deepened my thinking about connected cards, suited or not. I now love getting comfortable playing "straighters," especially in position. This writing is simple, elegant, just right. Recommended.
