Spoiled by the worst accent
Revisado: 12-23-22
Awful attempt at SA accent. Great story ruined. I've read every one of the Spud series and loved and laughed with each one. The story is infectious with emotion but tragically ruined by the very worst attempt at a South African accent.

Historia
Reacher takes a stroll through a small Wisconsin town and sees a class ring in a pawn shop window: West Point 2005. A tough year to graduate: Iraq, then Afghanistan. The ring is tiny, for a woman, and it has her initials engraved on the inside. Reacher wonders what unlucky circumstance made her give up something she earned over four hard years. He decides to find out. And find the woman. And return her ring. Why not?

An immersive story let down by delivery
Revisado: 08-25-22
A slow rambling lecturer delivery makes even dynamic and exciting Lee Childs boring. The author is renowned for immersing the reader in the scene, that good, that even the shadows have characters. Try as I may, after two attempts, I just cannot get past the boring ramble with badly placed pauses in a delivery that would have made even my dullest college lectures exciting. A shame as I was excitedly looking forward to this story.

Historia
In April 2017, Daniel W. Drezner began curating every example he could find of a Trump ally describing the president like a toddler. So far, he's collected more than one thousand tweets - a rate of more than one a day. In The Toddler-in-Chief, Drezner draws on these examples to take listeners through the different dimensions of Trump's infantile behavior, from temper tantrums to poor impulse control to the possibility that the President has had too much screen time. How much damage can really be done by a giant man-baby?

superbly contextualized and supported hypothethesi
Revisado: 08-02-22
This book is fantastically well structured making, supporting, and validating constructs and hypothesis throughout. All the behavioral traits of people in and around the TIC that one questions are contextualized around origination, self preservation, or frustrated upward management of leadership. The narration is excellent and well emphasized. Highly recommended.

Historia
From the moment Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the White House until very late on election night, media and pollsters kept insisting Trump wouldn't - couldn't - be president. But for Larry Schweikart - one of a ragtag group of amateur politicos called the "Deplorables", who had been publishing shockingly accurate polls and predictions, and Joel Pollak, a senior editor at Breitbart News following Trump on the campaign trail - Trump's 2016 win was a near certainty.

Inciteful perspective with sloppy subjective end
Revisado: 05-12-22
Well constructed and objective start. Closing chapters subjective Breitbart right wing. Excellent perspective that aids understanding of motivating factors and cultural nuances.
