Historia
Two mighty empires are at war—and both will lose, with thousands of planets falling to the extinction event called the Scour. At least that's what the artificial intelligence known as Rupshe believes. But somewhere in the multiverse there exists a force—the Mother Mass—that could end the war in an instant, and Rupshe has assembled a team to find it. Essien Nkanika, a soldier trying desperately to atone for past sins; the cat-woman Moon, a conscienceless killer; the digitally recorded mind of physicist Hadiz Tambuwal; Paz, an idealistic child and the renegade robot spy Dulcimer Coronal.

it seems like the writer has become overly infatuated with pronouns
Revisado: 05-01-25
reading a lot of science fiction, you get in the habit of hearing certain phrases that are repeated so many times they start to bother you. I've heard the term enzyme Bonded Concrete a million times. I've heard people call people brightness to an annoying extent. but I was not prepared for how absolutely annoyed I would be for the frequent and constant use of the pronoun "et" for any non-living intelligence entity.
the author also does not seem to really understand the jumps in logic and rational acceptable development for a technology and a technology story. I don't know how the Roxy AI can become a super intelligent AI without access to additional compute. I don't know how they can manufacture the step plates without a society-wide infrastructure of materials available. if you have a collapsed society, you better have had all of your electronics made because it takes an intact Society to make Electronics
it was just a stupid story. it had potential but it just got stupid

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

I have no words
Revisado: 02-06-23
Very few works of fiction really get into my soul. Liu Cixin's work amazed and astounded me to a point where I really did not think I could be impressed by something else for a long time. The work was so well articulated and so complete that I left the last book with a sadness. There was inside me a great lamentation for the end of time and the end of the universe, and I wanted to know what happened after or if there was even an after.
This book is the recapitulation of it all. it's a story about coming back around again. About rebirth and finding the new and exploring the great mystery of why it all is.
I want to thank the authors. Reading these books has been something I'll never forget. It's something that probably changed my life.
Rarely has a work of fiction been so complete and so encompassing that I find difficulty matching its grandeur. These are Masterworks.
Thank you, Li Jun ( Baoshu ) and Liu Cixin. I am glad I got to share existence with these people.

Historia
Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to coexist peacefully as equals, without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

absolutely fantastic
Revisado: 02-01-23
I was initially put off by some of the pro communist seeming stuff, but the complexity of the story really drew me in. after that I was just really floored by how imaginative and different this was. it was scientifically rational. it used the laws of physics as we know them stretched a bit to come up with the various scenarios with all of this. it created a universe that is dangerous, Bleak and makes a lot of sense when you consider the Fermi paradox. I'm honestly floored by how good this turned out to be.
I really hope there is a sequel to this where someone finds the message in the bottle.

I did not know where this was going at first but once it started moving I could not put it down. I hope this book remains fiction but it was a really well crafted world - too close to accurate. Especially given the recent Epstein "suicide". Why these guys don't set up deadman switches is beyond me. if you are going to be "suicided" for knowing too much a deadman drop is the only recourse you have against the people that did you in. hope the folks upstairs don't decide Mr Stack is suicidal.
brilliant work, through and through. the characters were well realized and not overdone. The only recommendation might be to do more scene building.

Boring and stupid
Revisado: 11-19-18
I got this with the hope that the theme and the story could be good given the general ideas involved. But instead of actually putting interesting characters into a strange situations they spend mountains of time doing nonsense and far too much other time with weird psychological bullship being bandied about by one of the protagonists. It got really old and at chapter 35 I just couldn't listen to any more of the nonsense.

I really like the light-hearted feel of all of the episodes in the series. Even though at times it gets a little too sweet and nice for my taste, I am able to overlook it because I kind of like the characters.
