Historia
Iris Adams can't dance. She can act. She can hike the Appalachian Trail. She can resist every carb known to womankind. She can make people laugh. But she has no moves. Not even one. Her lack of rhythm has never been an issue until she gets the chance to take her TV show to the big screen. A South Louisiana native, Beau Laundry's mission in life is to preserve his Cajun culture. The full-time French teacher and part-time dance instructor is only working with this Hollywood head case to help out his uncle. It's not because she's beautiful even when she's embarrassing herself.

Great story - Jarring AI narration by female narrator

Great story. Awful female narrator.
Revisado: 09-21-24
I've never reviewed a narrator's voice as being poor. But, if I didn't know better, I would swear that the female's voice was an AI creation. So robotic, it made this great story so rough to listen to at times.

Historia
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Wow. Just wow!
Revisado: 04-15-24
I wish Abby had more books out. I've loved every one. Each has little bits that tie to the previous ones, but could stand alone. Great character development. Real. Loved every minute of it!!

Historia
Jase Foster is as loyal and committed as a friend can get - when it comes to the guys, that is. But with women he keeps it casual and experiences what one would call a "high turnover rate". Emily Klein is beautiful and confident...and has mile-long legs that have been strutting in and out of Jase's life since adolescence, leaving a wake of destruction. As they get paired up time after time as the best man and maid of honor in the upcoming nuptials of all of their best friends, Emily and Jase find their mutual resentment simmering just beneath the surface.

Beautiful story
Revisado: 06-08-23
I really enjoyed this story of vulnerability, forgiveness, and love. I really enjoy the narrator, but was able to hear deep breaths between phrases often, which I didn't enjoy. I felt like the sound quality affected her beautiful ability to tell the story.

Historia
It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

Hang in there and speed up the recording
Revisado: 06-01-23
I admittedly stopped, listening to this book after the first six or seven chapters. I went back to it after listening to another audiobook where the character referenced this author and how much they enjoyed her. I decided to give it another try and was glad I did. I found the narration to be somewhat whiny, although I understand some of the events happening were not happy ones. I ended up speeding up the recording pretty significantly and that helped. The story is great overall. But, you also have to persevere through the very depressing first part of the story.
