Excellant story from a Master Storyteller.

It was a great performance of familiar characters. My only critcism was it was too short.

Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

Sad to have started it
Revisado: 02-27-24
The story in itself wasn't bad, but the author tried to push too many political agendas. It felt as if too many issues were a sore spot for the author. The cast and fx were awesome, I just didn't personally agree with with their paradigm.

Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Excellent story
Revisado: 02-16-24
An excellent story. The only thing that detracts from the experience is the swapping back and forth between having voice actors perform and the orator voicing the same characters. One or the other would have been better to avoid confusion in my opinion.

Historia
Druss, Captain of the Axe: the stories of his life were told everywhere. Instead of the wealth and fame he could have claimed, he had chosen a mountain lair, high in the lonely country bordering on the clouds. There the grizzled old warrior kept company with snow leopards and awaited his old enemy, death.

Historia
The Battle of Serenity Valley was the turning point that led the Independents to their defeat at the hands of the Alliance. Yet the Browncoats had held the valley for weeks against all odds, before being ordered to lay down their arms. Command stated they refused to send in airpower because the ground war was "too hot". But the soldiers who were there insist that was not true.... While picking up a new cargo on Persephone, Captain Malcolm Reynolds is kidnapped by a bunch of embittered veteran Browncoats who suspect him of sabotaging the Independents during the war.

Mal's Memoirs
Revisado: 07-22-21
*SPOILER ALERT!* If you haven't read or listened to https://www.audible.com/.../Firefly-Big.../1094100765..., and don't want any spoilers, stop reading here.
I just finished listening to "Big Damn Hero" by James Lovegrove on Audible. Here are my thoughts for anyone that cares to follow along; There were a few too many 'copy iconic tv scene' moments for me. It wasn't bad enough to upset the story, but it was noticeable. I enjoyed most of it. The characters were believable extensions of the ones we loved onscreen. Mostly. I had a problem close to the end with a particular part where Mal was thinking to himself and stating he had never put that crucifix about his neck. I clearly saw him wearing and kissing the crucifix in the series. Now one could argue it was a different crucifix and I could overlook that. Also, Zoe had a bit of 'questionable' trick shooting there at the end that I felt was unnecessary. Overall the story wasn't bad, but it felt more like fan fiction to me. It played it off as Mal having lost his 'faith' before Serenity Valley when I like to think it took the loss of that particular war to bring it down. The story is fine, but it wasn't as good of a fit as I wanted. I'm not sure I will continue reading or 'listening' to them. I like the verse, as I've had it in my head, better. Mr. Lovegrove is very talented, and his writing is solid. I just disagree with this particular story. If it is 'anything Firefly' you're interested in, it works for a quick fix. James Anderson Foster did a great job bringing the characters to life, and he even has a passable Mal imitation. Just my two creds.
