Historia
NYPD Detective Declan Shaw gets a call: How fast can you get to the Beresford building on Central Park West? In the tower apartment, Shaw finds a woman waiting for him. She’s covered in blood. A body is lying dead on the floor of the luxurious living room. Every book in the apartment’s floor-to-ceiling shelves is by the same author: bestselling true-crime writer Denise Morrow."This is you?" Shaw asks the woman. "You're a writer?" Only one person knows the ending to this story. Is it the victim or the killer?

It took some time to get into this book, it started off very slow. It did pick up as it went and had a great ending. The narration was ok,

Historia
Eighteen months ago, Detective Reed Mattox didn’t just lose his partner, the woman he met on his first day at the police academy and worked with for the entirety of his career thereafter. He lost his confidante. His sounding board. His support system. His best friend. Victim to a senseless shooting during a routine traffic stop, the details of that night are still as elusive to Reed as they were more than a year before.

I really like the narrator in these books and it was time that Reed got closure on what happened to Riley.

Narration was absolutely awful! The story ehh! Very disappointing and disorganized, maybe I was expecting more. There were good points, however the narrators were so distracting that it took away from the actual story. I won’t be readying another one of these. The greatest part of this a was the dog.

When I wake up, I know three things. My name is Emma. Someone tried to kill me. And I can't remember who. When I blink, my eyelashes brush against scratchy cloth. My fingers twitch, numb and distant. In the distance, sirens wail. I'm in the hospital. I should be safe here, but I know I'm not. The last thing I remember is running, seeing an arm raised to strike Why would anyone want to kill me?

One of the worst books I’ve ever listened to! The narrator’s voice was so cringing! It took forever to get going, predictable and truly very bad! Sorry! As a nurse, there are just no words!

18th Abduction/ not a fan
Revisado: 05-14-24
Of this entire series, this was definitely my least favorite! I’m not sure if it was the story line, but it seemed to go on forever and at times was frankly boring. There was no mystery, just rape and war crimes, not even much plot. Sorry this one is a good one to skip.

Excellent with one annoying caveat
Revisado: 03-21-24
The narrator repeatedly kept saying “I said”, which was not necessary, after 11 hours of hearing the main character say this every time she spoke, I was ready to throw my phone. The story was excellent, with surprise ending and good character building. I have never heard a narrator do this, I said, he said! Horrible!

Prepare for endless gore
Revisado: 02-17-24
I did not find much redeeming in this book, the characters and their evolution as sisters was good, but the endless slaughter of animals and the me heinous way was a bit much. Let’s throw in lots of sexual content to make it all better. Obviously not one of my favorites. The narrator was great however.
