Historia
Carlos Santana’s Light, Spirit, and Soul is a rhythmic journey into the places, spaces, artists, and music that have inspired and informed one of popular music’s most successful artists by any measurable standard. He’s not an entertainer. He’s a communicator of a language that speaks directly to the molecules of listeners across space and time. These are his Words + Music.

Historia
Jane Daugherty has survived what can only be described as the childhood from hell. She has vowed to build a new life, and at 24 years old, she is fulfilling this vow, successfully working as the youngest tenure-track professor at the University of New York. Jane's life takes an unexpected turn when she is reunited with the childhood friend she protected in foster care. Alexa Masterson introduces Jane to the family that adopted her, a family that includes her older brother, Aiden.

A powerful story!
Revisado: 02-10-20
Having listened to this story (audiobook), I feel as though I was not just listening to a tale, but like I was able to have a glimpse into the lives of real-life characters without their knowledge.
The intimate nuances that were intertwined with the everyday occurrences were blended in a very real way that made Jane come alive and deliver a message of hope in a perceptible way. I felt her pain and reveled in her joy.
Love and the recognizing it is such a large part of the story and Michelle weaves a warm and comfy tapestry as she utilizes the joys and pains of the family and its individual dynamics.
The voice of the narrator was done well and enables the listener to distinguish between the different characters with relative ease. I enjoyed her style of narration because it was not over the top: it was her voice even as she narrated the male voices. Women CAN effectively narrate stories that include male characters and Natalie proves this.
“Jane” gathers all the carefully curated ingredients of this recipe tale throughout the story and expertly combines them. The end result is an eloquently expressed, thoughtful and thought-provoking and altogether ‘yummy’ auditory feast for the mind and spirit!
Thank you, Michelle, for this warm and lovely story that I will add to my audio wardrobe and wear on days that I need a lift and a reminder of life.

I swear I’ve been a good boss. And a good boss resists his sexy, smart, and thoroughly charming assistant. But then, Natalie and I travel to Vegas for a job. Yeah, you've heard this one before. Bad news on the business front, drowning our sorrows in a few too many Harvey Wallbangers, and then she’s telling me she’s been crushing on me for months. Bam. All my resistance crumbles, and we’re testing the strength of the Titanic slot machine at the Flamingo (don’t ask).

The combination of author Lauren Blakey and narrator Sebastian York is delicious...just so delicious...

New territory
Revisado: 08-07-18
Each of the Brides of the Kindred series books I've either read or listened to (same thing to me) so far (books 1-3), have been pretty consistent in terms of romance and sexuality. This one kind of took me by surprise with the direction it took. Engage the book and see what I mean!
The storyline kept me interested in the adventure and per usual, Evangeline Anderson has done it again!
This is a great read (listen!) for anyone interested in Romance. I found myself not wanting to put it down-
And you know what? I felt genuinely good after having experienced this audiobook.
The experience of listening to this narrator? She was okay. I am expecting great things from her. I look forward to further narrations from her in the future. I'm sure I will be happy with what I hear then!

Loved being held by this book!
Revisado: 08-01-18
Just the right mix of sexy, science and storyline.
These books are excellent standalone reads and they also flow seamlessly from one to the next.
Great narration! I could ‘feel’ each of the characters as they were being read.
Enjoyed the narrator’s voice depictions. I liked how subtle variation gave life to the characters in the story.

Sophia Waterhouse has always been afraid of needles and vampires, so there's no way she wants anything to do with a modern-day Count Dracula - even if he does come wrapped in the package of a huge Kindred warrior with blond hair and ice-blue eyes.

A story quilt woven with politics and science
Revisado: 04-07-17
Reads like a political mystery drama sprinkled with science.
Voice acting was great! I could listen to them read with no problem. I could visualize each character. Just by listening.
The storyline was good, but just a little too politically themed for me.
