Historia
Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project—a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia—Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

Historia
Adam Cade is entitled, arrogant - and he doesn’t remember me. Adam is the prince of Lake Tahoe, born into one of the wealthiest families in the area, and he’s the one person I hoped to avoid. He doesn’t recognize me. He definitely doesn’t remember how he helped this town ruin my life. Now that we work together, I have no choice but to get close to the arrogant ass if I want to keep my job.

best of the series
Revisado: 05-06-22
definitely best of the series. I'd be interested in reading the stories of Adams brothers after this one and I almost had given up on the series and not finished it after the second book. I'm glad I stuck with it though because this one was the highlight of the 4 IMO.

Historia
When Aurelie Harcourt's father dies in debtor's prison, he leaves her just two things: his wealthy family, whom she has never met, and his famous pen name, Nathaniel Droll. Her new family greets her with apathy and even resentment. Only the quiet houseguest, Silas Rotherham, welcomes her company. When Aurelie decides to complete her father's unfinished serial novel, she must keep her identity as Nathaniel Droll hidden while searching for the truth about her mother's disappearance - and perhaps even her father's death.

too much going on, and very religious
Revisado: 12-10-21
First I should start by saying this was recommended as a romance. I suppose there is something of a romance in there but the romance part is second to all the other parts of the story. It's really a Christian historical "mystery". There was so much that went on in this story, but basically it starts with in interesting premise but then drags on and I found the religious aspect unappealing and that it did not help drive the narrative. To be fair, had I known it was a religion based work I would never have read it. But I did stick with it to the end where I suppose there is a happy ending for the main character. There was way too much going on in this story for me to become invested in any of the characters. With all the positive reviews I can assume if you're into Christian fiction, you'll like this book. If you aren't into being preached at then skip it.

sweet story, unique heroine for historic romance
Revisado: 09-18-21
not the best performance, but it's ok and the love story is adorable. Sophia is a unique heroine in that she isn't an "innocent" and she is often the instigator of the sex scenes. There also isn't anything bad to say about the hero, Sir Ross is basically perfect. Definitely give it a shot, if you like historical romance you won't be disappointed.

A bit dark for a regency romance
Revisado: 09-11-21
This story is a little dark for the typical regency romance but the characters and story are as addicting as any romance.

Historia
When a Sekali princess unexpectedly bursts into Elena and Lucas’s betrothal celebrations, Ardann is forced to send a team to investigate her claims of a new enemy. The last thing Saffron expects, or wants, is to be called on to assist. But she can’t risk disgracing her family by refusing to join the expedition. Julian, on the other hand, leaps at the chance to distinguish himself and gain favor with the Sekalis by helping the princess. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself equally interested in the chance to prove himself to an inconsequential Callinos girl.

fantasy romance novel
Revisado: 08-21-21
The audiobook is well made, no complaints about the quality of the narration. This story is slightly different from the others set in the same world (spoken mage and hidden mage series'). It is written more in a style of a traditional romance novel compared to the style of a fantasy novel as the others were. This one switches between the male and female perspective which is not uncommon in romance fiction. I'm not sure why anyone reviewed it stating that this switch or change was confusing to the story. It was perfectly easy to follow and the story moves seamlessly with no difficult to comprehend who is narrating or interruption to the story line. My one complaint is that it does feel like the two characters are quick to identify their feelings as love, but again this isn't unusual for a romance novel. The story is also significantly shorter, being one stand-alone novel compared to a multi novel series, than the others so I don't think the reviews that complain about this fact as a major issue to the story are being fair on that point. Obviously from the beginning you expect the two protagonists will find their way together (it was indicated in the final spoken mage story so that shouldn't be a spoiler or shock). The story still holds a lot of fantasy elements that are surprising and overall it's a very enjoyable read. It's my least favorite in the related series books (personally I like the hidden mage series' the best) but it's fully worth reading and enjoying. I would love to read more stories set in this fantasy world Cellier created here. I hope to see more in the future and you should definitely buy and enjoy this book.
