Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Revisado: 11-20-21
this book was performed by many actors and for some reason they made the decision to put strange atmospheric sounds in the background, sometimes just a weird air sound or hum and this did absolutely nothing to help them. it just seemed to create more distraction that was already bad because of the several actors. the book's okay.

Historia
In Three Stations, Arkady Renko’s skills are put to their most severe test. Though he has been technically suspended from the prosecutor’s office for once again turning up unpleasant truths, he strives to solve a last case: the death of an elegant young woman whose body is found in a construction trailer on the perimeter of Moscow’s main rail hub. It looks like a simple drug overdose to everyone—except to Renko, whose examination of the crime scene turns up some inexplicable clues.

I love Martin Cruz Smith's books, but this is not his best work. The reader was adequate but not the right reader for this text. if you'd like to experience a good Martin Cruz Smith book with an excellent reader then try polar Star read by Frank Muller.

Historia
Ex-Chief Investigator Arkady Renko is in deep on the “slime line” - the fish-gutting station - in the Polar Star, a Soviet fish factory ship of some 250 souls, almost as many secrets, and a dangerous shipboard sub-culture that cares little for the Party, and less for human life.

Then, he steps off the bus to help an old man who is obviously just a victim waiting to happen. But you know what they say about good deeds. Now, Reacher wants to make it right. An elderly couple have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and now they owe big money to some very bad people. One brazen move leads to another, and suddenly Reacher finds himself a wanted man in the middle of a brutal turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.

I've read all the Lee Child books all of them.
Revisado: 02-24-20
It's my dirty secret. This one wasn't his best by any stretch of the imagination, but it has all the components of a Lee Child book. I couldn't put it down, the writing is ridiculous, more like typing. he is, as always, extraordinary uninformed about firearms, computers, banking, etc, and rather than being ridiculous it's sort of charming. It's the same old stuff on the exact same template, and it's all good

Historia
In this unnamed city, to be interesting is dangerous. Middle sister, our protagonist, is busy attempting to keep her mother from discovering her maybe-boyfriend and to keep everyone in the dark about her encounter with Milkman. But when first brother-in-law sniffs out her struggle and rumours start to swell, middle sister becomes "interesting" - the last thing she ever wanted to be. To be interesting is to be noticed, and to be noticed is dangerous. Milkman is a tale of gossip and hearsay, silence and deliberate deafness. It is a story of inaction with enormous consequences.

I've waited so long to find a good book, her writing is crafted and precise and the book is hilarious as it is sad on a very human level. I loved the repetition and the lack of names , it's just a perfect book

it was fun I really liked it
Revisado: 12-08-18
but that's all I have to say about it and audible requires that you write 15 words down in the section right here and so now I've got a voice type out 15 words on my cell phone when I could be doing something else where I'd be spending my time better off which was not a very good sentence, that's fair, and pretty embarrassing to be a reader who is read so much and our writer and not be able to make a decent sentence when writing for other readers, Bosch there you have it, the book isn't going to change your life but it was a fun little expenditure of time
