Chilling tales on the worst of humanity
Revisado: 03-31-20
Ryan Green's True Crime Collection has definitely had me coming back to recollect my thoughts on how bad humanity can go. I've known from education about some of these monsters written about in this book, but to the extend written was very eye opening.
The Narration by Ernie Sprance was very well done. He had a good pace and got the story across efficiently. Great job.
I'd definitely not recommend this audiobook to anyone who is easily upset by how far some of historys most evil people can go. That said, I highly do recommend this audiobook for potential listeners. It was a very enjoyable listen.

A Sci-Fi with a Movie in mind!
Revisado: 02-05-20
Timberwolf was definitely an interesting and well written novel. Its a Sci-Fi novel with a very interesting take on religion and how its used as a means to brainwash soldiers. Although the religious aspects do take a bit of filler time at the beginning of the book, meaning the novel has a bit of a slow start, it really gets going and continually keeps adding new lore to further expand upon the universe that Tom Julian has written.
Like the title of this review has said, the book clearly knows what it wants and would translate pretty well into a movie screenplay. With the ideas and scenarios presented in this book, I think it would make a good fun scifi movie to watch, but I would warn against making it too preachy on the religion aspect. It's not just Christianity, but also Islam and Judaism. In todays PC cancel culture climate, it would make a tough sell in a world where movie producers rarely take chances on new IP's that have a lot of risk. Hence why we see nothing but superhero movies, sequels and reboots.
Overall, the presentation was great. The novel was fun to listen to and the Narrator, C.J. McAllister did a great job. His style is a bit more "looser" with his speech style than I would have liked, but it set a good mood with the military style of the characters.
I would gladly recommend this audiobook, Timberwolf, to any potential listeners. I would like to add that this audiobook was provided to me for free and I have voluntarily left this review of my own personal opinion of this book.

Big J always has your back!
Revisado: 11-24-19
This book was a very informative guide on the fundamental issues In regards to navigating this new world as a man. In the first ten minutes i could easily tell that the author/narrator Todd Isberner has spoken about this many many times. It shows he really knows what he's saying.
Outside of mouth noises of dry clicking with the first 20 minutes (make sure you consume a green apple or two, Todd!) he really has a good style that's easy to listen to and feels like you're sharing a beer together. Great job!
I should warn listeners though, if you're not Christian or a fan of Jesus, this book will turn you off. I was baptized as a Catholic and I attend church every now and then, but the amount of times that just simply praying was mentioned got a bit on the preachy side. I personally don't mind it, but I can see it being an issue for others.
I wish the author had a bit more faith in his readers. I would recommend that Todd does take some time to read Maps of Meaning and 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson. This book does touch on some of the values and virtues but without really going into depth of WHY it works for the more secular listener. Peterson breaks it down and explains it in layman's terms.
Overall, I got a lot out of this book. It presented the fundamental cornerstones that men really need to focus on and prioritize, which is lost in this generation with the shaming of masculinity and over feminization of boys at a young age. Its destroying the family unit and will have really bad long term consequences in the future for men and husbands.
I can easily recommend this audiobook. Just be ready for hearing a lot about the Big J.

Perfect for Children and the Wife!
Revisado: 11-24-19
These Winnie the pooh stories were very entertaining to listen to, Peter Dennis did a wonderful job narrating.
Of course I've been spoiled by the great voice work by the international animations with an all star cast, but after the adjustment, the characterization was spot on.
I can confirm that my wife did indeed cry because of how well done this was. I highly recommend this audiobook.

A royal flush
Revisado: 11-21-19
This audiobook was a solid listening experience. Dead Man's Hand was well narrated by Conner Goff. His straight forward narration was a great fit for the book's many point of view changes and many many characters within the novel. He did well to separate the characters enough for the listeners to tell when there is an exchange going on. His inflections came out great most of the time.
As for the novel. The majority of it was well fleshed out for making the scenes feel realistic and posing an objective for the story. I really enjoyed it. The few gripes I had with the story was that it felt a bit too drawn out to pad for time at times, when I'm just itching to skip forward to push the story. But that's me and my adhd talking.
I was given this audiobook for free in exchange for my own honest review. I have left this review voluntarily.
I would highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking for a good listen! Great job, Conner & Luke!

Imagine getting out of the bath and finding blood in four of your six rooms. That’s not the plot of a B-movie. That’s real life. There’s a reason you’re drawn to horror films, and they’re not as far-fetched as you thought. FBI data shows that four out of 10 homicides and six out of 10 rapes go unsolved, and this isn’t just down to shoddy police work or a failing system. Sometimes, there just is no rational explanation. Strange things happen every day, and many of them are never reported. But then, many of them don’t end in horror.

Short but spooky
Revisado: 11-16-19
This audiobook is a nice short collection of horror stories of paranormal, demonic and some pretty gruesome nightmare fuel. I found the later chapters to really have some good details that really paints a bigger picture of how terrible things can really go for some people. It floors me how some peoples' lives can be so tragically ruined or thrown into a loop by the stupidity of other people doing reckless things.
The narration by Martin James is passable. He does a few of Ms. Tidy's books that I've already listened to and my feedback is still the same. Martin really needs to tone down the upspeak narration so much for horror audiobooks and try to provide listeners more inflection in his delivery. Its kinda hard to get in the mood for some spooky scaries when it sounds so cheerful of a read. How does the narrator or writer feel about these gruesome things? You can easily deliver that feeling through inflection.
In short, its a great short listen. I would gladly recommend this audiobook. I received this audiobook for free in exchange for my own honest review. I have left this review voluntarily.

A Spookums Dream
Revisado: 11-15-19
** I received this audiobook for free in exchange for my honest review **
This audiobook is a neat collection of spooky ghost & paranormal related stories at its core. Its a fun listen with a lot of interesting stories that I had no idea about.
The narration by Martin James is passable. My gripe with his narration is that he's an up-speaker but doesn't change it up. Its incredibly easy to zone out with the narration and miss something in the story. I would recommend that Martin would try to show more inflection in his reads. You're reading a book about creepy, spooky and paranormal related stories. Not the daily newspaper or speech at an office.
I'm not saying to go all spooky voice for 3-4 hours, but just try to shake up your narrations. It's easy to fall asleep to this read when it should be keeping me awake all night.
I would gladly recommend this audiobook.

Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. This book is completely worth your credit or cash! Jim Dale's narration is completely in a league of it's own. His style puts you in the thick of the action and if you were to close your eyes you'd have a movie going in your mind!
Everyone and their grandmother knows Harry Potter at this point in our time, so it goes without saying it's worth a read if you're a potter fan. Jim's reading will only add more to that experience.

A tough listen
Revisado: 11-07-19
I was given this audiobook for my honest review. I have left this voluntarily.
This book is a good collection of interesting short stories with horrifying ideas for the basis. I generally really like listening to these audiobooks, I like how many authors come up with really creative ideas for their stories.
However, I really couldn't finish this audiobook. The narration lacked a lot of inflection and it felt that it was rushed. The narrator needs to pick up on the different narrating styles and differences between the varying point of views. This is a horror book, there is a trick to timing, narrating pacing and letting listeners digest what's going on for more dramatic or moments that we need to "click" when we get it.
My recommendation going forward for D Paul Faulkner is to listen to other similar audiobooks in the genre. Really listen to what works and what doesn't.
Its key to have inflection, pacing and varying narration for different characters and scenes. I really want the Narrator to improve and get better!
Slow down and don't rush through the stories, believe me I know the headspace for these really long book jobs.
Regretfully, I cannot recommend this audiobook. I would recommend reading the kindle version instead.

A variety of highs and lows
Revisado: 11-04-19
**This audiobook was provided to me for free in exchange for my own personal and honest review**
This guide for planning your wedding was very informative. I really didnt know too too much about weddings before I listened to this book, so I was glad that I gained a lot of information before my own wedding next year!
The performance was alright. Jessica Rentro could really take a deep breath before starting her Narration. I noticed quite a few times where she'd stop mid-sentence to take a deeper breath before continuing. It was a passable performance but her narration definitely had a lot of high-low notes in her delivery. Its very similar to my own narration in my own earlier audiobooks, haha.
I had to move the audiobook apps speed to 1.15x because her reading pace is a bit too slow. After the change, it was definitely more enjoyable to listen to.
The book itself is very informative. If you're looking to boost your knowledge of weddings, or for your partner, I'd gladly recommend this audiobook. I personally wished it had more of the authors' own touch and thoughts and feelings on certain wedding types. Pros and Cons. But for a general info book, it got me exactly what I was looking for.
