There wasn’t much of a storyline, it seemed like soft porn with a hint of a plot.I wonder if the author read the book more than once. Several inconsistencies with the original story when reflecting on the courtship, interactions with Georgiana, and with Mrs. Reynolds. She may have based it on the movie made in early 2006?Hearing Lizzy call Mr. Darcy “William” annoyed me which is silly, but it did. She eventually acknowledges that his name is Fitzwilliam.

If you listen to it don’t put it on full volume. The mouth noises from the orator between sentences is distracting to say the least.

Excellent book but it is abridged.

Four stars because I was unaware that this version is abridged. I missed the parts they cut.

Excellent story of where the world will end up when Socialism takes over. Rand lived this when her father’s grocery store was taken by the Communists after the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. Remember when you read this that it was written in a time she sexual freedom could ruin women, and men ran the world.

I love that Rush recorded this book himself. Hearing him deliver the content in his unique style was fantastic! It was interesting to hear Rush discuss situations that occurred over twenty years ago. I was able to see how some of these movements have progressed, and how the guilt and shaming tactic are still used today. I loved this book!
