In the best way! The characters were rich. The plot riveting. The language was beautiful. I was emotionally charged many times (how I determine I’m really invested). Such an empowering book. I bought a paper copy for my mother to read. Narration was spot on!

Wonderful but

I truly enjoyed and already have the next queued up. Definitely young adult. I figured out some pieces of the plot rather early on - just had to wait for them to play out that’s why the four stars because it was obvious BUT it’s young adult and the story was still great. Narration was fantastic! Excited to delve more into this world!

Fun mindless listen

There are some parts that didn’t seem real and I did get sick of the main character complaining about why stuff wouldn’t work and her age. But overall it was a fun listen and I even giggled out loud a few times and smiled on some stuff. Barely spicy - mostly just a tease - in my opinion - there is a sex scene and multiple foreplay scenes. I want to listen to a second book but I’m not sure I’m willing to spend a credit on it. It was fun but not quite that good

Good display of consent and dom/sub roles. Was a fun listen for a long drive, not too serious and I didn’t become super attached to the characters, but enjoyed enough to finish, would recommend as a fun/quick read. It was hyped a lot to me and I think I wanted a bit more from it but it was good. Check trigger warnings before listening. Overall fun story. Narrators were great.

Second book still good.

Was a bit confused in the beginning as she started to fall for the king but then it leveled out. A few plot twist surprises I wasn’t expecting so that was great. Narration still 100! Narrator is fantastic. A lot of reveals but still left with even more questions. Excited to start the second book, but did end on a “cliff hanger” sort of- there is kind of a lot of incidents throughout the story and they’re starting to add up as a - oh another twist happening here - whenever any sort fo big event happens.
This was not very eloquent but so far still good and excited for next in the series. I’d say suppppper slow burn - minimal spice- tons of sexual tension.

Pleasantly surprised

Narration was fantastic.
Was not expecting some parts of the plot not surprising but well thought out and executed. Interested to find out what happens next. Not spicy, but sexual tension is definitely set up. Strong world and characters- and definitely some of the best supporting characters I’ve read…listened to in awhile.

A good fluff romance

Solid plot and storyline. Steamy but not too much. A fair amount of sex but not too graphic. Typical romance no serious twists. Solid and enjoyable.

Interesting world

I really liked the world that was being created. The characters and concept of shifters was well done. It’s a novella so yes it’s short- feels abrupt but for a novella it was great! Quick listen and strong world building and characters. I personally liked the accents - although at first it kind of almost seemed like bad Dracula’s versus Scandinavian but it grew on me.
