Historia
China is killing Americans and working aggressively to maximize the carnage while our leaders remain passive and, in some cases, compliant. Why? If anyone could crack the code, it’s the renowned nonpartisan investigator Peter Schweizer. Schweizer’s previous three number one New York Times bestsellers sent shock waves through official Washington, sparking FBI investigations and congressional probes that continue to this day.

Terrifying
Revisado: 10-19-24
Listened to this in two sessions! Assuming Mr. Schweizer is accurate and factual, as his other books, I was terrified of the inroads China has made in the undeclared war on the United States! I was also enraged at the lack of action our milquetoast ‘leaders’ have taken to stop China’s attempt at domination! It’s depressing to realize that this country has lost it’s spine!

Historia
Cosmogenesis is one of the greatest discoveries in human history, and yet most science books do not explore the effects it has had on our individual minds. In Cosmogenesis, Brian Thomas Swimme narrates the same cosmological events that we agree are fact but offers a feature unlike all other writings on this topic. He tells the story of the universe while simultaneously telling the story of the storyteller.

Mis-titled?
Revisado: 11-18-23
Full disclosure..I did not finish this book! I had to stop at the 11 hour mark. I find cosmology and cosmogenesis a fascinating subject. I have listened to a few books on the subject and enjoyed them; however, they were a little above my understanding in terms of the math and physics involved. I was hoping this book would be able to explain the concepts in layman’s terms, but it turned out to be the musings and minutiae of the life of an aspiring academic! The author seemed to reference his Simca automobile more than any reference to cosmogenisis. If the last three hours addresses the title of the book, I apologize for the review…I simply could not tolerate any more of the author’s autobiography.

Historia
In this new anthology, Neil Gaiman pierces the veil of reality to reveal the enigmatic, shadowy world that lies beneath. Trigger Warning includes previously published pieces of short fiction--stories, verse, and a very special Doctor Who story that was written for the fiftieth anniversary of the beloved series in 2013--as well as "Black Dog", a new tale that revisits the world of American Gods, exclusive to this collection.

Enjoyed his previous works more
Revisado: 09-30-15
I have to admit, I'm a Gaiman fan and have enjoyed many of his past offerings. I find his narration exceedingly expressive. This effort, however, seemed rather lackluster in effort. I found many of the stories ended in a manner that suggested the author was lost for ideas or was just tired of composing and wanted to move on to the next story. Many were quite engaging. I guess everyone writes a clinker now and then.

Historia
An ordinary family man, geologist, and Mormon, Soren Johansson has always believed he'll be reunited with his loved ones after death in an eternal hereafter. Then, he dies. Soren wakes to find himself cast by a God he has never heard of into a Hell whose dimensions he can barely grasp: a vast library he can only escape from by finding the book that contains the story of his life. In this haunting existential novella, author, philosopher, and ecologist Steven L. Peck explores a subversive vision of eternity.

Can't get it out of my head
Revisado: 09-24-13
Someone said that when reading a book, the journey is more important than the destination. This journey was exceedingly intriguing-but far too short. this book has stuck in my head more than most because of the enormity of the task involved and the irony that "hell is not eternal". Absolutely great short listen.
