Historia
On November 1, 2006, journalist and Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in London. He died twenty-two days later. The cause of death? Polonium—a rare, lethal, and highly radioactive substance. Here Luke Harding unspools a real-life political assassination story—complete with KGB, CIA, MI6, and Russian mobsters.

Gripping and timely account of Russian intrigue
Revisado: 02-16-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a deeply researched book about both the assassination of Alexander Litvenenko and the larger story of Russia's (Putin's) intrigues against the west. In many places it reads like a cold-war spy novel and time after time I had to remind myself that this was an accounting of actual events that have taken place in the last 10 years. The narrator is top-caliber. A chilling must-listen for anyone concerned about the political climate of the United States today!

Historia
As it was in Anna Karenina, Madame Bovary, and Othello, so it is in life. Most forms of private vice and public evil are kindled and sustained by lies. Acts of adultery and other personal betrayals, financial fraud, government corruption - even murder and genocide - generally require an additional moral defect: a willingness to lie. In Lying, bestselling author and neuroscientist Sam Harris argues that we can radically simplify our lives and improve society by merely telling the truth in situations where others often lie.

Very interesting topic
Revisado: 01-04-14
What did you love best about Lying?
It's refreshing and intellectually honest approach to the subject matter.
What does Sam Harris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Harris wrote the book, so he knows what his intentions were and is able to convey them through the narration. That is something you don't always get when the author doesn't narrate their own work. That being said, Harris' performance is good but not great.

If you could sum up The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in three words, what would they be?
Spectacular Sci-Fi Humor
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
Overall, Stephen Fry's narration transforms the story and really brings it to life.
What does Stephen Fry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He does a masterful job narrating and adding an actor's touch to the dialogue. It really is as much of a performance as it is a straight audiobook reading. You can tell Fry loves the material.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely yes!
