I couldn’t get past the very monotone narrating. I couldn’t get into the story at all because there was no life in the reading. I have it 2 chances but it was a bust. Sorry!

I read the 1st installment, which was fairly good. I liked the narrator and the mystery/suspense of book 1 but I found book 2 to be a slower listen and found myself losing focus and having to re-listen at some points.

This story wasn’t an original theme... Tortured bad-boy falls for tortured sweet girl. The story wasn’t bad overall though... I listened within 2 days. My biggest quirk was the narration. I didn’t love the female narrator. I felt like it was obvious she was “reading” a text... some points felt very monotone and emotionless. I also didn’t love that female/male narrator did some of the parts of the opposite sex. male ... I did think the female narrator did better when she did the male parts though. The male narrator bothered me every time he did the female voice-over. And all his “female parts” sounded like the same voice. Overall easy read & decently written.

Intriguing

This was my first intro into audiobooks. I picked this up as a reco from Reese’s Book Club. The narration was good; sometimes the story was a bit hard to follow... feel some parts dragged a bit. Overall it was a good listen.
