Historia
In this dark and gritty collection - featuring short stories from Jim Butcher, Seanan McGuire, Kevin J. Anderson, and Rob Thurman - nothing is as simple as black and white, light and dark, good and evil.... Unfortunately, that's exactly what makes it so easy to cross the line.

Too many just so so stories. I was hoping to actually hear some Jim Butcher stories but this is just a collection of shorts.
I give this a pass and wait for something better.

Too many just ok stories
Revisado: 04-26-23
I listen to audiobooks while driving. I own hundreds and started with cassettes books.
I would say 1/3 of the stories in this first bundle (1-3) were very good. 1/3 were just ok stories then 1/3 of the stories I found myself drifting and thinking of other things while listening to them. Since I bought 4 bundles of the stories I will continue with the series and hope they contain more of the quality stories.

A little too military for me.
Revisado: 04-22-22
Still a very good story but I found myself drifting when too much military details were used. Look forward to the release of the next book unfortunately not on audible yet but should be soon.

My first book by Roma Gray, good but short.
Revisado: 07-22-18
I took a chance on this short story. It was a good little story but so short it is hard to judge if these shorts are something I will follow up on. The story was entertaining tho.
I see Roma has a couple other stories here on audible, maybe I will check out another one during another break in books I am listening too.

Just disappointing
Revisado: 05-15-13
What would have made Dead Ever After better?
Book felt rushed. Cookie cutter style. Like a tv show that has to wrap up in an hour. Everything neatly comes together at the 55 minute mark.
Some places too much details other places not enough. I guess writer was finished with the series's and just cranked this one out.
Would you ever listen to anything by Charlaine Harris again?
Yes if she does another series I will try it. Loved almost everything else she wrote.
What about Johanna Parker’s performance did you like?
She is sookie in my mind. Makes the story.
What character would you cut from Dead Ever After?
A couple at the end. Won't list them and give anything away but what was it 7 hour story and end with villains 15 mins max. :(
Any additional comments?
Series is a great read. Wish the same effort was used on this final book.

Disappointment
Revisado: 05-08-13
What disappointed you about The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury?
Story not very good. Suppose to be a zombie book. Too much time spent on characters lives and activities. First book was better held my interest. Most likely will not purchase another book of this series without some great rating.
Would you ever listen to anything by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga again?
Only if it gets great rating from a lot of readers or listeners.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narrator was not this books problem. Did very good job.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury?
Wow scenes and sections I would cut would be at the sections I can't remember what the heck happen. Lost my interest.
Any additional comments?
No a horrible book, but not what I was looking for in an adventurous zombie story. Too many slow, no action sections.

Great spin off series!!!
Revisado: 04-01-13
Would you listen to Once Burned again? Why?
This is a great spin off of Frost's main books. Tavia Gilbert does a terrific job relaying the story to the audience. Book had me listening long after I finished my drive to work, that's how you know you have been hooked.
What did you like best about this story?
Standard inter play of character. Male character not typical made it more enjoyable not figuring everything out before it happen.
What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
Made the characters come alive. Believable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
As stated above. Book had me sitting in car listening to story long after I arrived at my destination.
Any additional comments?
Once burned is a great listen. Well worth the price.

It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

Great Kim Harrison.
Revisado: 01-16-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Now this is more like the Kim Harrison I like. More like a 4 1/2 star book. The fill in the gap story's of Harrison's hollows series are 5 star and very enjoyable.
this collection of stories are worth every Penney you pay for book.
Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the last stories in the book become their own series just to see how they develop.
If you like the hollows books this is defiantly one to read.
What did you like best about this story?
Fills in the blanks in hollow series plus a couple totally new/different stories.
Which character – as performed by Marguerite Gavin – was your favorite?
She does great job. The pixies.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Very enjoyable. Some of the pixie comments will make you laugh

Revisado: 01-02-13
Where does An Apple for the Creature rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Middle of the pack. Good read (listen) from some very good authors.
Would you recommend An Apple for the Creature to your friends? Why or why not?
I like these collection of stories to introduce myself to other authors. I found Ilona Andrews Kim Harrison and many others from these shirt story collections. A great way to sample various authors in one setting.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Performance if readers very good
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
These were shirt stories. Some action, some humor, some paranormal creatures.
Any additional comments?
I have quite a few of these collections from Harris, butcher and others. I think they are great for author introductions to the listeners.
