I always enjoy Jessie’s books, and her incite into “Living a Christian Life, not just professing it.” She knows how to make you laugh while she’s teaching valuable lessons.
Jay is a great narrator and adds life to the storyline. Hey, how many narrators can sing!
It is like Jessie preaches the Gospel in a story of Love. I like that.

However, The one thing that I sometimes need a break from is the talking head syndrome, and all the info dump. Perhaps, I can tolerate it more when I read the book, but I get quite distracted during a narration.
I find myself having to grab the book to read it for myself. It is not against Jay or narrators. I am a visual person, and tend to focus better when the book is in front me. I find myself wanting to read along with the narrator.

Good clean stories

I like Amelia Rose stories. They are good and relaxing, and will keep you warm company. The narrator did a fairly good job, even if she seemed a bit stiff.

I like these compilations, because I love the length of the stories, being able to have many hours of listening.

Excellent Story with Excellent Narration

I had read this book before and truly enjoyed it. Second chance books are a favorite of mine, because they give hope. Jessie has woven a tale of love and forgiveness, strength and character. I love the fact that her stories are clean and encourage people not to be bitter over their circumstances. Louise could have held bitterness and poisoned her daughter Tella, but she didn’t. Thereby, she opened the way to love and happiness.

That being said, I most likely would not have read this series again, if it weren’t for Jay Dyess. I was given the audio of book 1 in this series for attending an online meeting. Jay’s narration is so good that I had to purchase the next audio book in the series, even though I’ve already read them all. Jay makes the stories come to life! I love Jay’s narration and his voicing between characters. Moreover, he is a genius at recording, and mixing. You cannot find flaws in the patching, volume or mixing/mastering. I don’t have to worry about having to turn the volume up to hear, or having my ears blasted. The normalization is perfect. I’d be proud to have Jay work at our radio station.

I am about to go purchase another audio book in this series, just so I can enjoy Jay’s narration. There is only one other author that I enjoyed because of the narrator. I could no longer enjoy her books, when the narrator died of cancer. Jay take good care of yourself!

Hilariously Funny, But Unreal

The Narrator, Jay Dyess, takes an alright book and turns it into an enjoyable, and addictive must listen. He is a generous soul and it comes across in his narrative. He gives the characters just enough ‘personality’ that you know which person is speaking. I know some of the men come across as “John Wayne’ cowboys, but it’s endearing.

Jessie Gussman, the author, had me laughing immensely as her antics as the unknown author ‘Jennie/Jackie’ on the floor reading a book by Emma St. Clair! Maybe Jessie should become an activity’s director at a Living Care Unit. This book was truly a fun one, and my favorite, even though I thought it was entirely too far fetched. Perhaps, Jessie knows more of what goes on with the elderly than I do, and I’m out of touch. LOL!

Fun Reminder That Angels Are Among us

If you are looking for a good story to get you in the spirit of Christmas, then this is a great book for you. It reminds me of Jimmy Stewart’s It’s a Wonderful Life. I enjoyed both the story and the narrator. Ms Macomber knows how to show life’s struggles, but lets you know there is Hope. I want to go find another of Debbie Macomber’s books to listen to!

I wish I could return this

I've read other Bree books, but I don't remember them being so much about the bedroom act. I wanted to listen to this book, but was too embarrassed to play it out loud. I was hoked because it was a good story, but There was too much bedroom talk to play this out loud around my family! Somehow, I slipped from sweet romance into this. Although there were no gory details, I just must have forgotten to do my research. Shame on me!

awesome twist on a beloved story

I truly enjoyed this book. The author and narrator did a great job. I loved that God was held as champion and sovereign for all that trust, honor, and obey Him. This book was exciting and riveting. It was also sweet and chaste enough to let the whole family listen. I hope the author can make more legendary stories.

Love and Trust Never Fail

Love that Lorena shows that God is fun and real, and can be fully trusted.
The characters from the other books are brought into this 4th book and play a major role in helping the love interest. Thank you for another fun read!

Full of F bombs and swearing

I purchased this audiobook to go with my free kindle book. What I didn’t know was this book is full of the F word and swearing. The narrator did well: it’s just not my type of book. There might even be sex scenes, too, but I didn’t listen far enough to find out. This book had a good storyline, and narrator was doing well. However, it was ruined with the foul language. It’s just this book is not for me

1st story good, but goes downhill

The reader did really well. Plus I really liked the first story. However, I did not like the content after the first story. Sex, Swearing and a gay marriage do no go with the cute little puppy on the cover. I wish I could recover my money on this purchase!
