Historia
Vera Wong is a lonely little old lady—ah, lady of a certain age—who lives above her forgotten tea shop in the middle of San Francisco’s Chinatown. Despite living alone, Vera is not needy, oh no. She likes nothing more than sipping on a good cup of Wulong and doing some healthy detective work on the Internet about what her Gen-Z son is up to. Then one morning, Vera trudges downstairs to find a curious thing—a dead man in the middle of her tea shop.

Historia
Growing up in the church, Kevin and Melissa Fredericks were taught endless rules and expectations around dating, sex, and marriage, but not a lot about what actually makes a relationship work. There were conversations that they didn’t know they needed to have, deep-rooted fears that affected how they communicated, and seasons of change that put their marriage to the test.

They were delicately blunt, that might not make sense, but that’s why ya gotta get the book! 😃
Revisado: 05-17-24
Even though I’m not married and don’t plan to be, I found this relatable in some ways, educational in a lot of others because some of the advise can be used in more than just marriage relationships.
I like how real the couple were about their experiences and their willingness to share, and though there is no cussing, they were delicately blunt.
I know that might not make sense. That’s why you have to read the book.

I liked the narrator’s accent
Revisado: 05-17-24
The story started out strong but after a while I felt it went off track and added things in to try to make it more interesting, but to me it wasn’t and like 5 chapters could have been edited out and the crime solved more quickly than what it was.
I’m sorry, I was bored and will not listen to the next book.

Good read/ Listen, listen to his podcast too, The OddCast
Revisado: 05-17-24
Just in general, I relate with Brant, his dry humor, his big caring giving heart and Even though I’m not on the spectrum, I have dealt with a lot of social anxiety from being someone who lives with handicaps.
I love his podcast too which is one of the biggest reasons why I picked this book.

I like the open discussions about Autism in her books

Like all people with disabilities, we like to be understood, heard and known.
I don’t have autism but I do deal with anxiety and I could really relate to a lot of what she writes about.

I love Ali’s books, she makes me want to be brave!
This book was so far the funniest, I love the sarcasm and the way she included all gender types and personalities with a touch of sexy hotness. I would definitely listen to this again
