Great listen and informative!

I'm very happy to get an x- vegans perspective on this! So many times you hear the debates of vegans vs omnivore and it's so one sided. This is smart and informative on a level you can only get from someone who is willing to explain each side from experience. I'm sad to hear of all the damage the vegan diet has done to the author but her willing to speak, even tho she is getting threats, is courage. 🖖

while needed one of the least enjoyable.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the other books in the series. The villain is a paper cut out of a cartoon evil villian. Sadly it was needed for the overall story, to continue the rest of the series the main character did need to go through most of it but it seemed rushed and forced by the author. The narrator is great, editing as well. I just wish that the author hadn't gone the way she had.

way better than the movie!

I read this book long before the movie came out and just listened to it again because I wanted to hear the narrator again. She does a wonderful job, her voices are great and very expressive.

I was looking forward to the movie hoping that it would be a true to form movie of a book. No. the story itself is great very true to Jane Austen as I understand the author literally took the original manuscript and inserted zombies changing very little but the overall story itself comes across as very different. You can't take something that was written by a woman who would never even have conceived of the idea of zombies and expect that the story will stay the same. I personally don't normally like zombie stories unless they're funny zombie stories. This is hysterical. Even more so if you enjoy any of Jane Austen's stories. Though I don't recommend this to people who are true purist Jane Austen fans. I understand it upsets some people to have her work satirized in this fashion. oh well. ;-)

All of that said, the movie is decent if you went to see it without having read or listened to the book. It has to be taken as something completely different.

The reader is my favorite so far. She adds so much personally to each character. Highly recommend this series.

Great story and the narration is fairly good. Long listen but worth it. I enjoyed it at bedtime and hikes.

Love the dresden files!

Having James Marsters as the reader of this series is awesome. I couldn't think of a better reader for the series. besides the reader the stories are fun entertaining and keep you wanting more. I've listened to all of them up into the newest book many times through. highly suggest the series to anyone who likes modern day science fiction.
