Historia
CJ Roberts just wants to be a normal girl, have a normal job, normal friends, maybe even a normal boyfriend. Unfortunately, she’s about as far from normal as it gets, because she can see the future. And like two sides of a coin, her twin brother, Matt, can see the past. Sounds like a neat party trick, right? Actually, it’s frustrating and sometimes even dangerous. And if the past is any indicator, CJ can’t do much to change what she Sees.

An enjoyable listen
Revisado: 08-08-21
I received a copy of this audible book for an honest review.
This was a hard one to review. I really like the premise of the book and the narration was great. But...there are a few things about the story that really annoyed me...
1. Putting the female in a much lesser job than her brother. Our heroine went to college for biology but didn't want to be a doctor or a researcher so instead she's her twin brother's secretary (he's a Director of a Social Media start up). Hmmm, doctor or secretary... which should I be? She also has precognition... shouldn't she have known where her life would go and studied something else?
2. The hero is a mean chef, compared to Gordan Ramsey. It's cliche and doesn't make him likeable.
3. The hero had an inappropriate prior relationship. In this day and age, a quick review of social media prevents his excuse from being feasible.
4. The hero is emotionally distant and secretive.
This book could have so been much better. I gave the book 4 stars but really consider it a 3.5 star book. Although I was distracted by the above mentioned flaws, I did enjoy listening to the story and would recommend it.

Not a great start to a series
Revisado: 12-06-20
I normally love Susan Stoker books and audiobooks but this one was not great. The story was ok but the narration was so awful it was hard to get into the story. Hopefully this will be the only book this narrator reads.

Great book, Used to be titled Sacred Waters
Revisado: 06-19-20
This is a great story about true love. It's emotional and sweet with a large loving family. The book was renamed Almost Priest which in my opinion is a shame. The previous title was Sacred Waters which is much more significant to the story. The narrator did a great job but there were these really long awkward pauses in the dialog (I assume it was an editing issue). They were often enough and long enough to be distracting. Even with the awkward pauses I would purchase the next in the series if it were available.

Historia
Fresh pasta isn’t the only specialty that takes extra time...The extra time and expense of Julie Elliot’s old-school cooking methods are worth it, but that means The Pasta Junction’s bottom line is often stretched thin - much like herself. Even during the holidays, the restaurant’s busiest season. When she carves out time in her brutal schedule to meet with Bloomingfield weatherman Lorenzo Rossi, she crushes her reaction to the tall, blue-eyed charmer quicker and harder than a clove of roasted garlic.

Instalove for New Years
Revisado: 04-06-20
I liked this audiobook but had a difficult time with the instalove part. It was a short story so the timeline needed to be fast but I waffled between "just go with it" and "is something off with him". I love you after a couple of days is awkward at best. I also felt he wasn't very supportive of her career and the amount of time required to run a restaurant. I'm sure the authors intention was to have our hero bring work/life balance to our heroine but it didn't feel that way.
With that being said, I would recommend the book it was an enjoyable listen. One warning: don't listen if you're hungry, lots of food talk!

A very sweet story
Revisado: 04-06-20
Christmas at the End of Main Street was a very sweet story about two people that needed a break from fix ups and disappointing dates. They decide to fake date through the holidays. After spending time together they discover they are what each was looking for in a partner. My favorite thing about this book is that all the characters are nice. Macie's family is especially enjoyable and their Christmas tradition was fun to listen to.
I listened/ read this book during the Covid-19 shelter in place. This sweet book was a great distraction during a time of high stress and drama. I received a free audio code for this book but I already owned the ebook.

Historia
Wes Covington left his demons in Denver. Working for his family’s architectural firm, he was tired of being almost: almost good enough, almost rich enough, almost loveable enough. He abandoned his penthouse, his high-paying position, and his Porsche for simple, small-town life. All he wanted was to restore his ancestral home and find a good woman who would love him for who he was and not what he was worth. When Wes meets Dr. Lydia Nichols, he likens her to a hellion with a halo.

Very enjoyable listen
Revisado: 11-04-19
I have never read or listened to anything by Kelly Collins but this won't be my last. I really enjoyed this audiobook (which was a giveaway by the author). Wes is a great character and a perfect book boyfriend. He's self aware and confident in who he is. He is honest with himself about his past and knows what he wants for his future. Lydia is smart and determined but lost emotionally. I had a difficult time liking her at first. After the death of her parents she focused on status and money as symbols of success. What she really needed was a good therapist.
A tiny spoiler: What I didn't like about the book: I questioned if Lydia's change in perspective was genuine. My thoughts were that she was repeating the pattern of her last relationship. I would have liked a bigger aha moment for Lydia.
Side note: As a beekeeper, I loved the use of bees to facilitate changes in Lydia's life.

Nice ending to the series. I loved the journal section of the book, it gives you good insight into how Mary thinks. Also loved the epilogue which showed a glimpse into the future of the whole team and their families.

Bears and bunnies aren't supposed to mix, or that's what Chase keeps telling himself when his bouncy new neighbor won't stay out of his business - and his mind. However, the more he gets to know his overly perky neighbor, the more he craves her. It's a desire worse than his addiction to honey and pie.
