The story isn’t anything more or less than expected. I can’t speak to it because this is discard.

The reading is awful. What exactly happened here??? The woman is reading one character with this constant bubbling, smiling voice that is insanely annoying. Why didn’t someone stop her??? Holy crap.

The production is equally awful. Loud, soft & everywhere inbetween.

Total discard. At least it was on sale.

That Russian Accent

I really like this book, such a great spin on the genre. Looking forward to the next one.

The reader is good too, accept for that Russian accent. It’s a lot to deal with. It’s bad.

Waxed poetic

I usually enjoy this author and I can legitimately see why this was an award winning book ....however it took way too many poetic privileges for me.

Repetitive phrases, unclear plot & slow character arcs made it difficult to finish. The reader is forced to interpret the language of the author 75% of the book, which is again poetic and repetitive. If you’re into that, then go ahead - but otherwise I would not suggest.

Also, the narration is freaking weird.

Maybe have a script or some sort of an idea of what you’re going to say. So many ummms and repeated words that I literally have no idea what they’re talking about.

A lot to unpack

There’s a lot to unpack moment to moment here and it doesn’t ever stop. You need to go with the story & trust the author and after awhile it’s really fun, when it doesn’t let up it’s becomes exhausting. A little more downtime would have been nice. Still overall it is what I’d expect from Faith Hunter. Its very well written, exciting and interesting.

Funny fun & sexy....read very fast

Three fun, funny and sexy books that are great for Christmas time. I really loved every minute. My only complaint is the reader really rushed through reading this. While she is talented and has a lovely voice she really needs to slow the hell down.
