Loved it!
This narrator breathes life into each character. She makes this more audio theater quality which is something I LOOK FOR IN NARRATORS.
Agatha shows more of her true personality in this book.
I was unable to guess who the murderer was in this book and was truly shocked when their identity was revealed.
This quality made me want to keep listening and finished this book in record time!
Hodge is a new character and I am eager to see how his personality is developed

Narrator was Disappointing

Narrator was fair but not the high quality of Penelope Keith whi narrated the first book.
A 5 star story can quickly become rated lower when narrators are changed to one of less skill in a series such as this one.
However, had I not heard Ms. Keith who narrates the first book I likely would have rated Bishop higher

The Backstory to understand other A Raisin novels

The first book I listened to was Agatha Raisin and The Quiche of Death and I loved it! This short audiobook provides the information I needed to better understand how Agatha started on her pursuit of solving crimes. I was able to listen to this for doing my dishes and making my breakfast and my other morning activities.
To me the narrator of audiobooks is what gives than life. I also happened to live with a cat who believe it or not likes to listen to audiobooks with me providing he likes the voice of the narrator. It may not be all that unusual he may just be bored with only hearing my voice most of the time.
I'm quite taken with Agatha and will be starting another book later today. If you have not read or listen to any of the books in this series and you like Mysteries this is a must for you.

Refreshing and Different

This narrator gets better with each book! Joe's bosses daughter is in this one and she creates a situation that Joe uses skills we have not seen before to solve. He draws on skills his relatives used to persuade people at times and I found myself not wanting to quit listening to this book!

Interesting timing Read this January of 2021

Another well written plot. The narrator does a great job of shifting between characters in a fashion that projects emotion anf true feelings.

The plot does raise some questions about morality and ethics where pharmaceutical companies trust drugs. It is, of course, up to the reader to decide individually if there is any wrongdoings morally or ethically on the industry.

The Best Book So Far in the Joe Demarco Series

The narrator is excellent and capable of switching voice for each character and to me this is more like a one mqn theatre show.
The timing of my reading this book was, well let's just say in the middle part pf the book it was January 6, 2021 the day Congress convened to certify the electoral college votes and a coup attempt was made at our Country's Capitol and failed. It was certified that on January 20, 2021 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be our Pressident and Vice President. On January 12, 2021 due to the insurrection and other factors the Joint Chiefs of Staff issued an unprecedented letter to the Joint Force reiterating their mission and in that letter the words "insurrection" and "sedition" are used. President-elect Biden will become the 46th Commander in Chief.
House Divided I finished listening to on January 12, 2021 and was struck was awe struck. Mike Lawson researches factual information expertly and is masterful at weaving said information into plots that are realistic enough to be fact.

Best one since the first book

this book may even be better than the first depending on what you like to read. There's so many twist and turns to parallel are reality is in this world I found myself more than once wondering and then believing can the stuff really happen? Joe DeMarco is one of the best develop characters in any book I've ever listened to or read. it's this is the first one you have picked up or are going to listen to stop right here read the first one or listen to the first one in the series so that you have the background understand these fully. I miss a pic to heck of a time to read this and listen to it the election of 2020.

The Best in the Series So Far

I loved this one! Lady Georgiana travels to Transylvania at the request of an old classmate who is getting married. Yes, Transylvania! Since image is important Lady G needs a maid/assistant to help her because it is expected. Of course, she has no money for this but succeeds is hiring a woman who is willing to travel with her and learn. This relationship is heartwarming and funny and full of surprises. Her escort appointed by the Queen finds the woman atrocious but Lady G doesnt care what her royal escort thinks as the woman she has hired is faithful to her and really does want to learn and do a good job. Darcy makes an appearance as usual. Will Lady G come to harm in this book? Will the wedding actually take place? Will Darcy and Lady G grow their relationship? Who gets murdered (of course there has to be a murder!) This was a good choice for pre Halloween listening and I did not want the book to end. I hope the next one on this series is as well written.
