Abby Cooper is a P.I., psychic intuitive. The reader doesn't do it justice
Revisado: 02-24-11
A friend recommended this series to me as one of her favorites of the genre. The story seemed like it had some merit but the reader made it very hard to get into it. Even being new to the character, I didn't feel it was a good match. Maybe a better one to actually read rather than listen to...

Historia
In her best-selling Amelia Peabody mysteries, author Elizabeth Peters has created an award-winning mixture of vivid archeological detail, finely-tuned suspense, and witty romance. This, the 12th Amelia Peabody mystery, opens in 1914. As the tides of war rise, Egypt is threatened by attacks. Espionage abounds, pulling in several members of the Peabody Emerson household even as they embark on a new archeological season.

One of my favorites
Revisado: 02-24-11
I have been reading these in order over the years and this was one of my favorites from this era in the life story of the Emerson family. The story takes an interesting turn due to the current events of the time period and it make for some new angles on the usual tomb robbing/murder formula that we all like so much. I very much enjoy this series and found this book very entertaining.

entertaining but fluffy
Revisado: 02-24-11
I enjoy Evonovich's Stephanie Plum series and occasionally try one of the stand alone books. This was, as can be expected well within the realm of that type of book, but in this case with magical elements. Cute, entertaining, fluffy. About what you would expect in a quick read of this genre.
