Historia
Investigative journalist Matthew Cole tells the story of the most lauded unit, SEAL Team 6, revealing a troubling pattern of war crimes and the deep moral rot beneath authorized narratives. From their origins in World War II, the SEALs have trained to be specialized killers with short missions. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan became the endless War on Terror, their violence spiraled out of control. Code Over Country details the high-level decisions that unleashed the SEALs’ carnage and the coverups that prevented their crimes from coming to light.

Don't waste your money
Revisado: 11-04-22
the best part about this book was the narrator had a very good voice which made it very easy to listen to
I should have read the reviews before I downloaded this book. this guy is a national media journalist which should have said all. he has nothing but bad things to say about the Navy seals.
most of his quotes come from what he says are retired seals which he does not name.
he tries to make some of our national heroes like Marcus luttrell, Jocko Willink ,Chris Kyle and other seals look like bad guys. he even was critical of the Captain Phillips rescue by the three Navy SEAL snipers.
he's the kind of guy who sits all day in a Starbucks I bet. enjoying their free Wi-Fi with his latte riding this, while the true Americans are out fighting the fight
the way he writes his book makes me believe he's the same kind who would be the first one to ask why didn't the police officer just shoot the gun out of his hand. why did they have to kill him?
if this book was so true and so heinous why has the department of defense not investigated?
luckily I got my refund

Historia
The massive armies of the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact allies posed a huge threat to the nations of Western Europe. US military planners decided they needed a plan to slow the juggernaut they expected when and if a war began. The plan was Special Forces Berlin. Their mission, should hostilities commence, was to wreak havoc behind enemy lines and buy time for vastly outnumbered NATO forces to conduct a breakout from the city.

Historia
On September 11, 2018, Navy SEAL Chief Edward Gallagher - a highly-decorated combat veteran with nine deployments to war zones in Africa, Afghanistan, and Iraq - was arrested for war crimes at the TBI medical clinic where he was receiving treatment. His incarceration was the culmination of a year-long whisper campaign started by a group of disgruntled members of his SEAL platoon. While heavily covered in the media, the full story of how a war hero was railroaded and nearly sent to prison for life for crimes he didn't commit has never been told.

the story was amazing and it definitely was very filling in of the gaps of the media's coverage of this incident. the only drawback is the audio production was not very well put together. there were a lot of repeated sentences throughout the book. but if you can get over that just stick to the story is well worth it

Historia
On May 2, 2011, at 1:03 a.m. a satellite uplink was sent from Pakistan crackling into the situation room of the White House: "Geronimo, Echo, KIA." These words, spoken by a Navy SEAL, ended Osama bin Laden's reign of terror. SEAL Target Geronimo is the story of Neptune's Spear from the men who were there. After talking to members of the SEAL team involved in the raid, Pfarrer shares never-before-revealed details in an exclusive account of what happened as he takes listeners inside the walls of Bin Laden's compound.

Good read (older information l
Revisado: 07-13-21
this is a great book which was written in 2011. I learned a lot about the Seals and UBL from this book which is very informative. the only negative reviews are this information might not be correct because of a book that came out in 27 2017 from Rob O'Neill the operator. he is the man who claims to have been the one to kill Bin laden. the rate on the compound is greatly different between these two books. but I will say all the other information was incredibly interesting.

Historia
>In this illuminating and informative memoir, an Iraqi translator who risked his life working with American Sniper author Chris Kyle and the Navy SEALs tells his remarkable and inspiring story, offering a refreshing new perspective on the Iraq War. As the insurgency in Iraq intensified following the American invasion, U.S. Navy SEALs were called upon to root terrorists from their lairs. Unsure of the local neighborhoods and unable to speak the local languages, they came to rely on one man to guide them and watch their backs. He was a "terp" - an interpreter - with a job so dangerous they couldn't even use his real name.

Revisado: 11-18-20
I typically listen to books about seals and special forces. This time it was a night rocky interpreter. it definitely gives you a different perspective on how the Iraqis were during the war. The author is incredible and to be so well accepted by a seal team as their brother says volumes.
