Beautiful poignant story that pays homage to the arts (visual, theater, and literature). This well researched historical fiction captured my heart. The strong women characters were inspirational. You will view Vincent Van Gogh and Sunflowers 🌻 in a whole new light.

The author offers a poignant portrayal of the abortion decision, process and aftermath by presenting case histories of several of her patients in an abortion clinic in the 90's.
In this heartbreaking book, she makes it clear that each abortion is sad and tragic, but often necessary to prevent additional compounding of existing human suffering.
No matter what you believe about abortion, this book will educate you and deeply move you. It may move you from a position you now hold.
Her narration was heartfelt and left you feeling that you just spoke to a compassionate nurse that regularly witnesses both "the sacred and the profane".
